The List for Thursday, January 20th 2022

Welcome to The List,

The dream is alive…the dream of being discovered…it could be The Voice; it could be American Idol…it could be a small-town bar just ask Jimmie Allen where HE got discovered “Puckets grocery store. I was in a song writers’ round, I had three jobs at the time, and I called out on all three jobs because I could play some music get paid 200 bucks and get a free meal. So, I’m in” If you have the drive and the ambition. You’ll be found wherever you are.

The Wayne’s World car is going to be auctioned off. The 1976 AMC Pacer has been restored to look like it did in the film. It is powder blue with mismatched hubcaps, flame decals, a working stereo and a rebuilt engine. Bidding starts at $37,000 – Queen cassette tape sold separately…

——

Parker McCollum talks about his guitars, he values them more than anything. “My most treasured possessions would have to be my guitars.  I know I treat them terribly; I beat them up all the time. You can tell when you look at them.” Willie Nelson treasures HIS old Martin classical “gut-string” guitar, and he calls it ‘Trigger’ because as Willie says “It’s my horse”

Radar Online says Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet allegedly split because of his busy schedule. A source tells the website, “A few years ago, Jason was struggling to find work. Now his career is booming. And he wants to keep working as much as he can. For some people, it might strengthen their marriage. For Lisa and Jason’s marriage, being apart has been a disaster.”

The List for Friday, February 6th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Starting off with some royal news, and surprise, it’s awkward again. Reports say things are allegedly tense between King Charles and Prince William. An insider claims there’s real anger on both sides, with William being described as controlled, strategic, and very aware that he’s the future king. Translation for the rest of us. Two strong personalities, one crown, zero compromise.

-----

The Super Bowl is fascinating because everyone watches it, but almost half of America claims they do not care who wins. A reported 47 percent of Americans have no opinion on the outcome. Among those who do care, more are pulling for the Seahawks than the Patriots. And me? I am rooting for a solid cheese dip and no commercials that make me cry.

-----

Luke Combs is sitting out the Madden Bowl concert ahead of the Super Bowl. Why? Because his wife is expecting their third child. Luke posted that family always comes first and apologized for missing the show. That is called priorities. And honestly, Dad mode beats Super Bowl mode every time.

-----

Jelly Roll is giving one of his Grammy Awards to the juvenile detention center where he once spent time. His wife Bunnie Xo says he wants to give the kids a little inspiration. That is not a publicity stunt. That is a full-circle moment. And possibly the most meaningful Grammy flex ever.

Catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
