3/27/2026 Sheryl vs James sponsored by Tannin
Will the third time be a charm for Sheryl or will James send the KLASH into overtime?
Welcome to The List,
Sad start to the day today. We’ve lost one of the greats. Legendary actor Gene Hackman has died. Police in Santa Fe, New Mexico confirmed late last night that the bodies of Gene, his wife Betsy Arakawa, and their dog had been found inside their home yesterday. No foul play is suspected, and no cause of death has been announced. He won Oscars for “The French Connection” in 1972 and “Unforgiven” in 1993. Gene had just turned 95 last month.

Were just full of good news today… Michelle Trachtenberg, from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Gossip Girl”, died yesterday. She was only 39. There’s no word on the cause of death, but apparently, she had a liver transplant sometime in the past year.

Ella Langley and Riley Green’s hit “You Look Like You Love Me” is one of those songs that once you hear it, it’s hard to get out of your head. A TikToker put out a parody song and it’s worth checking out. Except she changed the lyrics to, “Excuse me, you look like you’re ugly.” The best part is Ella saw the video and approved. (You can check out Katy’s parody song, here.)

Shaboozey now has the longest #1 streak for a solo artist since the Hot Country Songs chart began in 1958. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has now spent 35 weeks at #1.

Welcome to The List,
Hookup shows come and go. Paychecks apparently stay forever. Taylor Frankie Paul will still get her full Bachelorette salary. TMZ says the payday lands in the low to mid six figures. The season got shelved after that viral domestic violence video resurfaced. Reality TV motto. Love fades. Direct deposit survives.
-----
Some guys jog. Some guys apparently brawl with neighbors. “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson reportedly got into a physical altercation. Sources say intense behavior is kind of his brand at this point. He doesn’t think he crossed a line. Neither does the authorities,
-----
Country star meets horsepower. This feels aggressively on brand. Darius Rucker is now a NASCAR Cup Series team owner. He invested in Legacy Motor Club which competes at the top level. From singing about wagons to literally owning fast cars. That is what we call career acceleration.
-----
If you like free music. Nashville just planned your summer. CMA Fest announced around 150 artists for daytime stages. Names include Ernest, Melissa Etheridge, Tucker Wetmore, more. The free shows run June fourth through seventh downtown. Wallet stays full. Voice will absolutely not.
