The List for Thursday, April 7th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Dierks Bentley received a Star on the Music City Walk of Fame. He jokes that his career has peaked. But for him, what song put him on his career path “When I was 17 my buddy Jack Brown, played me two songs one was Hank Jr’s ‘Man To Man’  which totally blew all the circuits in my brain.  One was Marty Stewart ‘That’s Country’.  Those two songs back-to-back, just totally, I just can even describe the certainty of knowing what I wanted to do.” So there were TWO songs and is it surprising at all that one of those was a Hank  Jr song….

Today is the opening day for Baseball!!!…Brett Young always wanted to be a Baseball player…“Baseball was kind of always going to be the path for me since I was little. There started being professional scouts at games about junior year of high school, but I still made the decision to go to college instead. Baseball clearly wasn’t the plan for me.” Tonight you can catch The Cincinnati Reds taking on the Atlanta Braves on the Braves’ home terf on ESPN 2

Gwen Stefani tells Ellen on her show that she and Blake have ‘pet names’ for each other. “Oh, Blakey and Pretty Girl…I didn’t make that up, he made that up.” Gwen said she started wearing cowboy boots after they got married.

Jada Pinkett Smith’s ex-boyfriend, August Alsina, is writing a memoir. Publishers are offering him a six-figure deal to talk about his relationship with Jada.  Meanwhile, Will Smith’s biggest fear is that he is going to be canceled because he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars.  He’s seeing many of his future movie rolls and projects being put on hold and there’s nothing he can do about it.  The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will meet April 8th to discuss possible sanctions for Will.

Speaking of trouble in Hollywood…Because of all the trouble “Flash” star EZRA MILLER has gotten into lately, Warner Brothers and DC are pausing future projects and public appearances he had scheduled.  Now to be clear this is the MOVIE ‘Flash’ NOT actor Grant Gustin the CW TV show Flash.

The List for Thursday, June 26th 2025

Welcome to The List,

So Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski told GQ he wants to do a crossover between “Days of Thunder” and that new F1 movie with Brad Pitt. Because apparently NASCAR and Formula 1 need a cinematic multiverse now? Oh—and he teased Top Gun 3 where Maverick faces a “crisis bigger than himself.” Probably high cholesterol!

-----

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have ended their engagement after nearly ten years. A source says it's “amicable” and “not contentious.” Yeah, well, if your engagement lasts longer than some marriages... were you planning a wedding, or just hoping the other person would blink first?

-----

Travis Kelce hosted a surprise nightclub concert in Nashville Tuesday, and who jumps on stage? Taylor Swift and Kane Brown—singing Shake It Off. Travis wore camo, gold chains, and a cowboy hat like a fashion fever dream. Raise your hand if you're one more duet away from needing a break.

-----

Zach Bryan was in a Dublin bar when he heard a staffer say he’s working late nights to pay for college. So Zach left him a $7,000 tip. Which is incredible, inspiring, and a reminder that I too am available for eavesdropping—especially if you’re rich and generous.

The List for Wednesday, June 25th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Tyler Hubbard is learning to fly planes! Because clearly being a country star, dad, and heartthrob just wasn’t adventurous enough. He told CountryNow.com he’s excited to “have the stick in his hand.” Oh, are you now? Buckle up, Captain Hubbard is in the cockpit. Pray he’s better at landing planes than Florida Georgia Line landed that whole solo career thing.

-----

Post Malone was performing in Phoenix, tried to cheers a fan, and full-on yeeted himself off the stage. But like a true hero, he rolled out of it with zero injuries and—more importantlysaved the drink. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call a professional drinker. Priorities: 1. Beverage. 2. Bones.

-----

Diddy is planning a trial victory party... before the trial's even over. Champagne, cameras, and enough ego to power a small country. One insider called it “Studio 54 meets Gatsby meets petty revenge tour.” He’s not just trying to clear his name—he’s scrubbing the guest list. Win or lose in court, he's making sure somebody’s gettin’ cut. THIS is what we call “Putting the cart before the horse.”

-----

Fun fact: If you go on America’s Got Talent, you’re basically signing up to get roasted by a room full of strangers—and that's before the judges weigh in. The show’s fine print might as well say “We can embarrass you in 4K and you can’t say squat.” So dream big, sing loud, and get ready to be turned into a meme.
