Add Kevin Bacon to the list of actors who want to play Joe Exotic if a movie about Netflix’s breakout docuseries hit “Tiger King” is ever made. Like everyone else who’s stuck inside self-quarantining amid the coronavirus pandemic, the actor has been binge-watching the documentary about the former Oklahoma zookeeper, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage. Speaking yesterday on the “Today Show,” host Al Roker asked if Bacon would be interested in playing Joe Exotic in a potential movie. “Sure I’d play Joe Exotic in a second,” the actor said. “It’s funny because before that even came out, I said to my wife, you know, she said, ‘Why are you watching that show?’ I said, ‘This is an amazing show’ and I said, ‘The reason that I’m watching this show is because these are the kind of characters that I get asked to play and, to me, documentaries are way better.’” He added: “So listen, fingers crossed, if you could put in a good word for me Al, I’d appreciate that.”

The List for Thursday, August 7th 2025

Welcome to The List,

In a desperate bid to stay relevant, Blake Lively is reportedly terrified she’s about to become the next track on Taylor Swift’s breakup album  and not the love song kind. Sources say their friendship fizzled after Blake’s legal mess with Justin Baldoni… and now Taylor’s ghosting her! Blake’s smart enough to know when Swift goes silent, a savage rhyme is on the way.

MTV just remembered country music exists! They've slapped a shiny new “Country Category” on the VMAs, and the nominees are stacked: Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Carrie Underwood, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and Morgan Wallen. Took ‘em long enough… but hey, we’ll take the boots on the moonwalk!

-----

Post Malone’s stalker is back for the fifth time. Cherish Gomer, clearly not cherishing boundaries, was arrested after literally jumping in front of Posty’s car like it was the final scene of a rom-com. His driver had to swerve just to avoid turning her into roadkill. Someone get this girl a restraining order and a therapist!

-----

In the most Ozzy Osbourne thing ever… the flowers fans are leaving at his memorial in Birmingham? Yeah, those are gonna be mulched and scattered by his future gravesite. It’s giving “ashes to ashes, petals to compost.” Honestly, it’s poetic... and so metal.

The List for Wednesday, August 6th 2025

Welcome to The List,

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are coming this September and guess who's leading the pack? Lady Gaga with 12 nominations! Bruno Mars slides in with 11, and Kendrick Lamar’s got 10. And Beyoncé? She's only up for Entertainer of the Year… and not a single other category. Bold move, MTV. Watch the chaos unfold September 7th on CBS and MTV.

-----

Hold up country music has officially been shaken... Carrie Underwood is no longer blonde. I repeat Carrie is now a brunette. She posted a pic saying, “Last time I saw my natural color, I was 12.” Now she’s giving it another shot, and social media is absolutely here for it. Carrie, welcome to the dark side.

-----

Demi Moore is on a mission and no, it’s not another rom-com. She’s allegedly lobbying for Bruce Willis to get an honorary Oscar. Because let’s be real Die Hard is cinema history AND a Christmas movie. She wants him recognized while he can still accept it himself. The Academy’s dragging their feet, but Demi? She's not letting Bruce’s legacy go quietly.

-----

If you’ve ever dreamed of day drinking with Dolly Parton your weird little dream just came true. Dolly Wines now has a spot at Assembly Food Hall in Nashville. That’s right grab a glass, raise a toast, and celebrate the Queen of Country in her own hometown. Pinkies up, Dolly style.
