The List for Thursday, April 1st 2021

Welcome to The List –

Blake Shelton says he and Gwen hope to get married this summer and everyone under the sun wants to sing at it.  “We really don’t know, I’d love to be able to take everybody up on their offer and have this amazing concert wedding but.  You know how it is, we’re just waiting every day just like everyone else to see what our summer’s going to look like and go from there.” Blake jokes that so many artists want to sing at his wedding that it is starting to sound like Coachella.  But definitely sometime before the fall season of The Voice.

Dierks Bentley has the ultimate stress reliever in a marriage…he tells People magazine that he uses paintball as couple’s therapy.  He says $30, it’s money well spent, especially if your wife, you know you’ve been kind of a jerk, or she needs to take some stuff out on you on a way that’s not going to kill you.” Paintball….

It’s opening day for Baseball and one of the biggest baseball movies ‘Field Of Dreams’ celebrated it’s 30th anniversary and Kevin Costner thinks the film is much more that just a movie about baseball he thinks it’s this generation’s ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ “So much about relationships with your father go unsaid and you gotta break that cycle or your going to need the field of dreams to remind you of what you missed.”

If you’re a Knives Out fan, get ready because more are coming! Netflix acquired Knives Out 2 and Knives Out 3 for a whopping $450 million, making this one of the largest deals ever made for the rights to a movie series. These films bring a little something new to the streaming platform as the competition continues with others like HBO Max, Apple TV, and Disney+.

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, December 11th 2025

Welcome to The List,

The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly going out of their way to respect Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift. They haven’t monetized the romance, they don’t splash her on the big screens, and they don’t blast her music in the stadium. Travis says he appreciates it because when he’s on the field, “it’s all about the team.”  Meanwhile, judging by how he’s been playing the last few games… it seems like his mind might be somewhere else. Maybe in a cardigan.

-----

Tim McGraw stunned fans at a recent concert after stepping onstage in skin-tight suede pants with tassels down the sides. Parade Magazine says the Internet responded instantly with commentary like: “Dude raided Lainey Wilson’s closet,” “Lainey Wilson wore them better,” and my favorite — “Lainey McGraw.” I mean… if you’re gonna rock tassels, commit. Somewhere, Faith Hill is lighting a prayer candle.

-----

Jelly Roll just had the moment dreams are made of. While chatting on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Joe played him a recorded message from Craig Morgan officially inviting Jelly to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Jelly immediately broke down in tears. This is the kind of full-circle moment that hits harder than his songs. From jail cells to the Opry… man, that story writes itself.

-----

Sharon Osbourne revealed heartbreaking details about Ozzy’s final night. She said he asked her to kiss him and hold him tight, and that he was incredibly happy in his final weeks thanks to the “Back to the Beginning” concert. Say what you want about the Osbournes… but that man loved his music, loved his fans, and clearly adored Sharon until the very end. That’s a tough one.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
