The List for Monday, September 26th 2022

Welcome to The List,

You might remember back in June, when John Cena set a record with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for fulfilling 650 wishes. Maybe not but he did!!  Well, he’s now being recognized by the Guinness World Records. John is now listed under “Most Wishes Granted Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation”.  No one else has even fulfilled more than 200 wishes. Back when he hit the 500 wish mark, John said, quote, “I just drop everything.  If I can offer a fantastic experience, I’ll be first in line to do my part.”

Just found over the weekend that Pop star Rihanna will headline the 57th Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 12th in Arizona.  She confirmed the news with a photo on Instagram of her hand holding a football. I know everyone on the Las Vegas Raiders looks forward to watching it on TV.

Unless you already know the answer to this, I’m 100% certain you’d never get it right.  Luke Combs was asked to name his go-to Karaoke song, and his answer was . . .  “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” by Eiffel 65…

Darth Vader has retired….well, his actor that does the voice…has…James Earl Jones has been the voice of Vader since the original movie back in 1977, but he’s 91 years old now, and he just officially retired. He did, however, give Lucasfilm and Disney the right to digitally recreate his voice going forward, so the character can live on.

 —–

A new horror movie is coming out this week, it’s called ‘Smile’ and the studio found a creative way to let people know about it … sending background actors to live baseball games, front and center.  In all of them, there was at least one person positioned behind home plate that held a super creepy smile the entire time. We’ll take a closer look at ‘Smile’ Thursday with ‘At the Movies’ during the Drive at Five.

We end on some sage advice Jackson Dean got from Clay Walker who actually got from George Strait….. “He says, ‘No matter what, you have to put this first, cause if you don’t, your family doesn’t eat. Whatever you have to do to keep yourself running, do it. Whoever has to go, whoever has to step in, make it happen. And just make sure that you keep your [stuff] straight,’ is what he said to me.”

The List for Friday, December 26th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Nicole Kidman is reportedly hitting the reset button on her love life. Insiders say she’s done with high-profile relationships and now wants something quieter, calmer, and way less tabloid-friendly. Along with that, she’s allegedly planning a full image refresh new look, possible cosmetic tweaks, the whole “new chapter” energy.

-----

Adam Sanders was crowned the very first winner of The Road during the finale at the legendary Ryman Auditorium. And right after the big win, Keith Urban leaned in and whispered something Sanders says he’ll never forget: “You played this thing like a F’n fiddle.” Sanders beat out Cassidy Daniels and Channing Wilson and walked away with prize money, a record deal, a Stagecoach main-stage slot, and a Keith Urban quote that belongs in a frame.

-----

Kate Gosselin is officially walking again just 82 days after a serious leg injury. She shared the update on TikTok, saying she’s easing back in stages 25 percent, then 50, then 100. She says it’s a huge step toward recovery and she’s excited. Which is great, because raising eight kids feels like a full-contact sport.

-----

And finally… Tyler Farr admitted to one of the most country stories ever told. He says he once went skinny dipping and peed in Jason Aldean’s pool. Yes. That happened. Farr shared it like a proud memory, though Jason’s pool filter probably needed therapy afterward. Country music friendships are built different… and apparently so are their pools.

The List for Tuesday, December 23rd 2025

Welcome to The List,

Keith Urban just gave fans exactly what they’ve been begging for. His brand-new live album “High And A(live)” is officially out now, recorded straight from the High And Alive World Tour. You get 11 number-one hits, plus his cover of “You Get What You Give.” This isn’t a watered-down live album either it’s basically front-row energy without paying arena prices.

-----

Brad Paisley just confessed what every guy already knows… he’s a last-minute Christmas shopper. Brad says he ends up at the mall on December 24th, panic-buying gifts he doesn’t fully understand. He admits it’s a waste of what should be a fun day, but somehow he still does it every year. Buying mystery gifts and hoping for the best… truly a man of the people.

-----

Cher is catching heat for allegedly lip-syncing during her Saturday Night Live performance. Some fans compared it to Ashlee Simpson’s infamous 2004 moment which feels a little dramatic. Cher is 79 years old, it’s a taped show, and lip-syncing has been happening on SNL longer than the cold open.

-----

Jake Paul revealed he had surgery after getting knocked out by Anthony Joshua. He says doctors had to install two titanium plates on each side of his jaw and remove some teeth. Jake says the surgery went well, but he’s on liquids only for seven days. Nothing humbles a YouTuber faster than being on a smoothie diet.
