The List for Monday, October 17th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Sadly, Robbie Coltrane, who played the giant Hagrid in the “Harry Potter” movies, died Friday.  There’s no word on the cause of death, but he had reportedly been ill for the past few years. He was 72.

—–

Carrie Underwood kicked off her “Denim & Rhinestones” tour on Saturday with a 24-song setlist.  She even brought out a glittery drum set and did a solo on “Poor Everybody Else”.  Carrie also covered Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle”.

—–

Marvel fans have wondered who is going to replace William Hurt as General “Thunderbolt” Ross because he passed earlier this year.  Well, it’s unofficial but it looks like Harrison Ford has been tapped to replace Hurt at the General.  Several sources claim Ford will play Ross in “Captain America: New World Order”, and then “Thunderbolts”, where he oversees an anti-hero team sort of like the “Suicide Squad”. In the comics, Thunderbolt Ross becomes a character called Red Hulk . . . but there’s no word if that’s happening in the MCU.

—–

Thomas Rhett and Katy Perry are announcing something, but what could it be?  They posted a photo of their silhouettes with tomorrow’s date.  They already have a duet together with “Where We Started”, so maybe it could be a music video.  Or a brand new song.

—–

Florida Georgia Line is coming out with their first greatest hits album.  It’ll have over 18 songs, including three new songs.  It comes out November 9th, but there’s an exclusive vinyl at Target that comes out October 28th.  Try not to get too excited though, the band is still on hiatus.

—–

If you’re a fan of ‘The Conners’,  Billboard magazine says Jimmie Allen is going to guest star but his role is being kept a secret….and lastly Halloween Ends did well over the weekend although it didn’t make as much as the first two original movies….

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1.

The List for Tuesday, March 31st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Taylor Swift has officially entered her glittery legal era again. A Las Vegas performer says Taylor’s use of “The Life Of A Showgirl” is stomping all over her own brand, “Confessions of a Showgirl.” She’s suing for trademark infringement, wants damages, and an injunction too.

Only Kid Rock could turn a poolside salute into a military investigation. The Army says two Blackhawk helicopters near his Tennessee mansion were just on a Nashville training route, but now they’re checking into why they hovered there. Kid says nobody’s getting in trouble and called it pretty neat. Nothing says casual Tuesday like cannonballs, patriotism, and two black helicopters hovering near your house…

-----

Riley Green is stacking side quests like a pro. He’s making his TV debut on Marshals in mid-April. And because sleep is for other people, he’s also reportedly opening a second Duck Blind bar in Gatlinburg. At this point Riley’s building a country music cinematic universe.

-----

Thomas Rhett says one of his favorite parts of touring is trying wild new foods on the road, which sounds adventurous and expensive. Meanwhile Dylan Scott keeps it a little more backyard chaos at home, admitting he’ll wander into the kitchen at midnight and cook a full meal like it’s noon. His wife wakes up confused; he’s making dinner round two. That’s not a snack, that’s a second shift.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
