The List for Monday, November 4th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Don’t poke the bear…especially if said bear is a 6-3,  295 pound individual who used to be the ‘Center’ for the Philadelphia Eagles…Outside the Penn State / Ohio State game on Saturday, Jason Kelce grabbed a fan’s phone and slammed it on the ground, after he called Jason’s brother Travis a gay slur for dating Taylor Swift.

—–

Bailey Zimmerman surprised his grandma with a brand-new Cadillac.  He posted about it on Instagram and said, “Happy Birthday to the sweetest soul I know.”

—–

91-year-old Willie Nelson just released his 153rd album,  and told the “AP” he’s not going anywhere.  Quote, “I’m not worried about [dying].  I don’t feel bad.  I don’t hurt anywhere.  I don’t have any reason to worry about [it].”

—–

Quincy Jones died at home in Bel Air last night at 91.  He won 28 Grammys, 2 honorary Oscars, and an Emmy, plus he produced “We Are the World”, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.
