The List for Monday, February 8th 2021

Welcome to The List –

Making your Grand Ole Opry debut is special for any artist, and Kane Brown is marking that country music milestone in a unique way.  The upcoming special Grand Ole Opry: 95 Years of Country Music not only highlights memorable moments in the venue’s more than 90-year history, it also marks Brown’s official Opry debut. Additionally, Darius Rucker surprised Lady A with an invitation to join the Opry while taping their rendition of “Forever and Ever, Amen” for the show.

Jason Aldean his wife, Brittany, serenaded Navy Rome to mark her second birthday last week. They sang “Happy Birthday” to her…and Navy Rome? Well, all she cared about was her balloons…Ya gotta have balloons…

Robert Downey Jr. talks about the best thing about being part of the Marvel Universe. “The greatest thing for me, because as a fellow..just..I love this stuff, I geek out over it was…I got to experience it, by playing it. It was just unforgettable.”

Today we honor the passing of Christopher Plummer …known for his roles in “The Sound of Music,” “Malcolm X,” “A Beautiful Mind,” “Knives Out,” and many other films. He says he never became a true “movie star” because he kept returning to stage performances. “I always go back to the theater, and that’s very hard for film people and Hollywood people to understand.  He must be dead…he’s either dead or he’s in the theater which is the same thing. “Academy Award winning actor Christopher Plummer died peacefully at home on Friday at age 91.

The streaker that ran onto the field during last night’s Super Bowl was tackled by security at the Buccaneers goal line. He was wearing a one-piece, pink thong women’s bathing suit….and I think THAT was the most exciting thing that happened at Super bowl 55

The List for Thursday, March 19th 2026

Welcome to The List…

Hollywood’s biggest fear is officially here. Dead actors… still booking roles. A new movie is using A.I. to bring Val Kilmer back. Yeah. From the grave… straight to the premiere. The director says Val wanted this. His family signed off too. Which is great… until your Netflix suggestions start haunting you. Somewhere an Oscar just felt uncomfortable.

-----

Tom Brady says he wears a disguise to his kids’ games. Not kidding. Hoodie. Hat. Full undercover quarterback mode. Apparently the kids don’t want attention on them because… you know… their dad is TOM BRADY. Imagine trying to sneak into a gym when you’re built like a superhero statue. Sir… we still know it’s you.

-----

Rumor is Keith Urban might be going through a midlife crisis after the split. Sources say he wants to live the single life again. Totally different person now. Which honestly just sounds like every guy who suddenly discovers energy drinks and fitted jeans. Next step is obvious. Corvette. New Balance. Bluetooth headset.

-----

Kenny Chesney just launched his own record label. Big move. Real boss energy. It’s named after his boat… because of course it is. And the first artist he signed…drumroll… Kenny Chesney. Man skipped the middleman and hired himself. HR meeting must be real smooth.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
