The List for Monday, February 20th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Happy Monday!!  Today we start with some behind the scenes with Liam Neeson and his movie “Taken” remember the “Very particular set of skills” speech?  Well Liam had NO IDEA it would become such an iconic speech. In fact, when he was delivering those lines, he actually thought they were CORNY. Quote, “It was a cornball.  I really did feel that.  It’s nice to be proven wrong.” So you can imagine after he delivered the line, he looks at the director and they both start laughing…

“Judge Mathis” and “The People’s Court” are both ending their runs at the end of the current season.  “Mathis” has been on the air for 24 seasons, and “The People’s Court” is in its 26th.

 —–

Olivia Newton-John’s final recording is a duet with Dolly Parton singing Dolly’s classic “Jolene”.  It’ll be included on an upcoming posthumous release of Olivia’s called “Just the Two of Us: The Duets Collection”.  It comes out May 5th,

A home gardening company called Epic Gardening teamed up with Carrie Underwood to help her build out her greenhouse.  They released a 26-minute video of the process, which includes a tour led by Carrie of her property and the chicken coop.  Ya gotta have chickens!!!

—–

A couple Hollywood quickies – Richard Gere was hospitalized in Mexico with pneumonia he was celebrating his wife’s 40th birthday when he got the bug…but good news he’ll be alright.  Tom Sizemore from “Saving Private Ryan”“Pearl Harbor” and “Black Hawk Down” is in critical condition after suffering an aneurysm…he is in critical condition and is in a ‘Wait and see situation’.

—–

Lastly, our thought and prayers are with former President Jimmy Carter and his family.  The former president entered hospice care over the weekend.  He’s 98.

The List for Wednesday, April 1st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Meghan Markle allegedly thought she could jump the royal line. A new book claims she believed she should be queen next. Said she was smarter, better, and worked harder than Kate. That’s not confidence, that’s skipping the entire family tree.

-----

Two Blackhawk helicopters hovering over Kid Rock’s house raised eyebrows fast. Army pilots got suspended while the investigation played out. Then the Defense Secretary stepped in and shut it down. Suspensions lifted, no punishment, case closed just like that.

-----

Keith Urban might be ready to say a little more. A report claims he felt iced out of Nicole Kidman’s interview. She talked family and life but didn’t mention him once. Now there’s talk he could finally tell his side. Nothing says romance like a possible press tour response.

-----

And if you saw Jason Aldean storm off Colbert… relax. That viral story is completely made up from top to bottom. Wrong show name, bad details, zero credible sources behind it. The internet really said “let’s just create chaos today.” Moral of the story, not everything trending is actually true…I know…surprise right??

You can catch The List, weekdays afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
