The List for Monday, December 21st 2020

Welcome to The List –

Christmas week is finally here…Most everyone remembers that Christmas gift that was the best, number one, that made it feel like Christmas. What was your favorite childhood Christmas gift? We asked Luke Bryan what his was “My favorite Christmas gift is definitely my first Honda 50 motorcycle that I got back in 1984. It was just an amazing gift to have under the tree, and I never will forget seeing that as I walked out.”

Keith Urban remembers spending his childhood Christmas holidays on the beaches in Australia. “We still love going to the beach at Christmas time, as long as we’re in Australia, because it’s like the Fourth of July. It’s huge. Everybody’s out. It feels very celebratory . Albeit, we still had all of the same Christmas songs, so we’re in, like, 90-degree heat with shorts and tank tops singing ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland,’

Is the movie “Die Hard” a Christmas movie….the debate has gone on for years…well, we have the definitive answer and we get it from the movie’s Director John McTiernan. He’ s adamant that the action classic is a Christmas movie. He says although it wasn’t wasn’t intended to be at first, but the joy that came from it is what turned it into a Christmas movie…that sounds a little suspect to me…

Gal Gadot was asked if she was open to making a third “Wonder Woman” movie is possible “I’m open for more, but you know we need to make that the story is right. and everything is right and lets see how the world is going to be. Now there’s so many moving pieces.” “Wonder Woman 1984” is in theaters and streaming on HBO Max beginning December 25th.

The List for Thursday, March 19th 2026

Welcome to The List…

Hollywood’s biggest fear is officially here. Dead actors… still booking roles. A new movie is using A.I. to bring Val Kilmer back. Yeah. From the grave… straight to the premiere. The director says Val wanted this. His family signed off too. Which is great… until your Netflix suggestions start haunting you. Somewhere an Oscar just felt uncomfortable.

-----

Tom Brady says he wears a disguise to his kids’ games. Not kidding. Hoodie. Hat. Full undercover quarterback mode. Apparently the kids don’t want attention on them because… you know… their dad is TOM BRADY. Imagine trying to sneak into a gym when you’re built like a superhero statue. Sir… we still know it’s you.

-----

Rumor is Keith Urban might be going through a midlife crisis after the split. Sources say he wants to live the single life again. Totally different person now. Which honestly just sounds like every guy who suddenly discovers energy drinks and fitted jeans. Next step is obvious. Corvette. New Balance. Bluetooth headset.

-----

Kenny Chesney just launched his own record label. Big move. Real boss energy. It’s named after his boat… because of course it is. And the first artist he signed…drumroll… Kenny Chesney. Man skipped the middleman and hired himself. HR meeting must be real smooth.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
