The List for Monday, December 12th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Is “Die Hard” a Christmas movie or not?  The world may never truly get to a consensus on this. But this might sway a few people.  A new trailer that was made to promote the movie’s release on 4K presents “Die Hard” as, quote, “The greatest Christmas story ever told.” Bruce Willis’s John McClane is just a dad who wants to spend the holiday with his family, but, quote, “gets stuck at the office party.” In case you’re wondering where Bruce stands on the issue . . . during his Comedy Central Roast in 2018, he said “Die Hard” is, quote, “a Bruce Willis movie.”

James Gunn and his partner Peter Safran are really shaking things up at DC.  And that includes a big switch for Jason Momoa. Sources say that after “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” comes out next December, Jason will be officially done with the character.  But he’s not getting the axe. Instead, he’s going to play a DIFFERENT DC character . . . the anti-hero Lobo.

Tyler Hubbard just coming off some fall dates with Keith Urban and Ingrid Andress and Keith’s “The Speed Of Now World Tour” and now his focus is on the holidays’ “I love Christmas as well, you know? I think it’s taking time away from work and just kind of getting grounded again, spending good quality time with family and friends, and just the spirit around that time of year just feels great.”

In theaters this weekend Avatar: The Way Of Water  tells the story of the Sully family and the trouble that follows them,. Zoe Saldana says some of the cast members were competing to see who could hold their breath the longest. underwater scenes in the movie. “So, I do remember when I came into work one day, they were like Kate did seven…and I said she did seven minutes under water?! I came on and said I gotta step up!” Avatar: The Way Of Water’ Staring Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Kate Winslet is in theatres on Friday…We’ll take a closer look Thursday with ‘At The Movies’ during the Drive At Five.

Dolly Parton’s matter-of-fact honesty is one of the million things we love about her.  During an interview on “CMT Hot 20 Countdown” she revealed a secret function of the wigs she wears. saying “My wig cap has a little pocket on it in the back because my clothes are so tight, my mic pack don’t fit nowhere, there’s only room for me in my clothes. “So I have it to where the mic fits in my hair ’cause I wear wigs all the time and so it goes right over it and we just kind of mic it around and it works perfect.”

And finally, NBC says Kane Brown and Breland will perform during tomorrow night’s season finale of ”The Voice’ and Music Mayhem magazine says Bailey Zimmerman is going to perform during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve countdown on ABC.

The List for Wednesday, April 1st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Meghan Markle allegedly thought she could jump the royal line. A new book claims she believed she should be queen next. Said she was smarter, better, and worked harder than Kate. That’s not confidence, that’s skipping the entire family tree.

-----

Two Blackhawk helicopters hovering over Kid Rock’s house raised eyebrows fast. Army pilots got suspended while the investigation played out. Then the Defense Secretary stepped in and shut it down. Suspensions lifted, no punishment, case closed just like that.

-----

Keith Urban might be ready to say a little more. A report claims he felt iced out of Nicole Kidman’s interview. She talked family and life but didn’t mention him once. Now there’s talk he could finally tell his side. Nothing says romance like a possible press tour response.

-----

And if you saw Jason Aldean storm off Colbert… relax. That viral story is completely made up from top to bottom. Wrong show name, bad details, zero credible sources behind it. The internet really said “let’s just create chaos today.” Moral of the story, not everything trending is actually true…I know…surprise right??

You can catch The List, weekdays afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
