The List for Monday August 31st 2020

Welcome to The List –

Granger Smith boils life down to its essentials on “Country Things,” the just-released title track of a new double album he’s got in the works. The first half of that project, Country Things Vol. 1, will be out on September 25. In the eight-song first chapter, Granger offers a look into his family life and also feature a guest appearance from Granger’s colorful, oddball alter-ego, Earl Dribbles Jr.

Kane Brown Is pumped up about his hit single ‘Cool Again’ … “Cool Again”, we were trying to get a summer vibe song. It came pretty quick, and then after we wrote it, we’re in quarantine so it’s kind of a perfect match of, “you know we just want everything to be cool again, we wanna be back on the road.” We were all excited when we got it. It was our first single off the next record.

You may have heard by now, Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has died after a private four-year battle with colon cancer, his representative said on Friday. He passed at his home in L A with his wife and family by his side. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV,”. He did seven movies and all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. Which proves Hollywood CAN keep a secret when they need to…Chadwick Boseman was 43.

AV Club says Sylvester Stallone is readying a director’s cut of ”Rocky 4.” He says he is going to remove Paulie’s Birthday robot from the film. (AUDIO) Stallone added “The robot is going to the junkyard forever, no more robot. I don’t like the robot anymore.”

The List for Thursday, March 19th 2026

Welcome to The List…

Hollywood’s biggest fear is officially here. Dead actors… still booking roles. A new movie is using A.I. to bring Val Kilmer back. Yeah. From the grave… straight to the premiere. The director says Val wanted this. His family signed off too. Which is great… until your Netflix suggestions start haunting you. Somewhere an Oscar just felt uncomfortable.

-----

Tom Brady says he wears a disguise to his kids’ games. Not kidding. Hoodie. Hat. Full undercover quarterback mode. Apparently the kids don’t want attention on them because… you know… their dad is TOM BRADY. Imagine trying to sneak into a gym when you’re built like a superhero statue. Sir… we still know it’s you.

-----

Rumor is Keith Urban might be going through a midlife crisis after the split. Sources say he wants to live the single life again. Totally different person now. Which honestly just sounds like every guy who suddenly discovers energy drinks and fitted jeans. Next step is obvious. Corvette. New Balance. Bluetooth headset.

-----

Kenny Chesney just launched his own record label. Big move. Real boss energy. It’s named after his boat… because of course it is. And the first artist he signed…drumroll… Kenny Chesney. Man skipped the middleman and hired himself. HR meeting must be real smooth.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
