Welcome to the List,
Today we morn the loss of a Television Icon, Hi, I’m Jonathan Knight and this it The List, for decades Bob Barker entertained millions of viewers from the late 50’s well into the 80’s. He made a stop in the movies to kick the crap out of Happy Gilmore, and there isn’t many that can’t remember skipping school or being sick and watching The Price Is Right. Bob got his start in radio in 1950 before moving to California to follow his dream and was there for six years before he got his start in Television in 1956. Bob Barker died at his home of natural causes and was 99.

An annual poll asks all the college football coaches to name their favorite singer, and country stars dominated this year. George Strait is the most popular overall. Other artists with multiple nods include Eric Church, Luke Combs, Kenny Chesney, and Cole Swindell. Do you think we’ll get a Country Halftime show?

The 14-track project will include “Tough Crowd” and Aldean’s current single, “Try That in a Small Town.” Also arriving with the announcement is an anthemic new track, “Let Your Boys Be Country. “This song’s about letting your boys, letting your kids be kids, especially little boys,” Aldean says of his latest song. “Let them go get dirty, play in the mud, go out in the woods, catch some fish, hunt, all those kinds of things.” Aldean’s currently on his 41-city Highway Desperado Tour.

Welcome to The List,
Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.
You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
