The List for Monday, April 25th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Mile Marker 66.6 in New Jersey, Bat Cave North Carolina, even as recent at 420 Ave…these are some of the most stolen popular street signs in America…it’s not uncommon that some towns proud of their famous people like to tell new commers that they are the home of…let’s say Carly Pearce…and the sign or signs in this case get stolen!! “Wow! I didn’t know that the other one was stolen as well. If this is a super fan and I hope that they hear this, just DM me that you want tickets to a show. “Adding…that it’s not affecting HER…it’s affecting her TOWN…and she’d like to see it stop.

Here’s a trivia question that’s timely.  Do you remember the country music video that featured Amber Heard?’ Need a hint?  She played the grown daughter who “headed off to the West Coast” . . . breaking her dad’s heart in the process.  Yep, it was Kenny Chesney’s “There Goes My Life” video, which came out in 2003.

While we’re on the subject.  Old Dominion did a pop-up show last week in Tampa, Florida . . . and at one point Kenny joined them to perform his song, “Save It for a Rainy Day”.  It was co-written by a couple of guys in Old Dominion.

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK IS BRIDGET!!

Bridget was found at Three Bridges City Park after a kind passerby noticed her alone and suspected she had been dumped. She was brought to the shelter for care, but during her intake exam, we realized she was nursing and likely had kittens nearby. She was returned to the park.  A few days later, one of the staff members was able to locate Bridget and her kittens and bring the entire family safely to the shelter.

Since then, Bridget has done an amazing job caring for her babies. Thanks to her attentive mothering, the kittens are all healthy, thriving, and fully weaned. Now that her role as mom is complete, Bridget is ready to find a forever home of her own. Bridget is only 2 years old!

Bridget absolutely adores people and loves nothing more than cuddling and soaking up affection. She isn’t particularly fond of other adult cats and would prefer to be the only feline in the home. She has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccinations, has been microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Bridget is a sweet, loving cat who has been through a lot and is more than ready for the comfort and care of a permanent home. More information

SINCE SHE IS OUR KIX CRITTER HER ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $25.00!!!

The List for Monday, July 28th 2025

Welcome to The List,

So apparently, there’s a feud in Hulk Hogan’s camp... over what he’s gonna be buried in. Radar Online says Brooke wants a suit to give him national figure vibes. Meanwhile, son Nick's like, “Nah, brother, bury the man in spandex and a bandana!” Because nothing says eternal rest like yellow tights and a handlebar mustache.

-----

The NY Post says Aaron Rodgers won’t let his roommate flush the toilet at Steelers training camp... at night. Too loud. DK Metcalf legit has to text for permission to flush. I mean... Rodgers is what, 90 now? At his age, the real miracle is if he makes it to the toilet in time.

-----

It’s a bro-down at the country gym: Jelly Roll’s still working on those fitness goals, Luke Combs just dropped 30 pounds and says he’s feelin’ amazing—and Morgan Wallen? That boy showed up in Arizona looking like he’s been curling whiskey barrels. Someone online even asked, “Can I get tickets to the gun show?” Yes. Front row. No shirt.

-----

So there’s this EDM duo “Vavo” who thought it was a good idea to remix Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” into a techno banger. And by "good idea," I mean... country fans are screaming in horror. It’s like someone put a glitter rave hat on a bald eagle and made it dance to dubstep and we’re over hear asking….Why?

You can catch The List weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
