The List for Monday, April 18th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Maren Morris is no slouch in the kitchen with her favorite and Tik Tok famous pasta dish with the Momofuku chili crunch she likes to add as a secret ingredient. She got to be a guest judge on the Food Network’s ‘Beat Bobby Flay’  “I love the fast-paced-ness of that show. And so, when they invited me to be on it, I jumped at the chance because I wanted to see what the set looked like in person, and it was just a dream come true.”  Maren was on episode two of season 30 titled ‘Bobby, Why Don’t You Just Meet Me at the Griddle?’

LIZ SHERIDAN, who played Jerry’s mom on “Seinfeld”, died Friday.  She was 93 years old.  Liz also played the nosey neighbor on the ’80s sitcom “ALF”, and had a love affair with JAMES DEAN in the ’50s…and A dog named Toby Keith is now the oldest chihuahua in the world.  Little Toby set the record on March 16th when he turned 21 years, and 66 days

Brooklyn Nets Guard Kyrie Irving may be in some hot water. He flipped off Celtics fans during the Nets 115-114 loss in Game One of their NBA Playoffs series. Kyrie says the fans bring out his dark side…I wonder who he blames for un-sportsman like attitude…

Tom Hanks threw out the  first pitch at the Cleveland Guardians home opener on Friday and he was joined by his ‘Castaway’ co-star, Wilson The Volleyball, well a remote controlled ‘Wilson’ he spun around the pitchers mound as Tom pitched the ball.

The List for Friday, March 27th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Carrie Underwood says her boys can sing, but she is not handing out tiny little record deals just because Mom can hit a note. Her oldest is already a mini-Carrie, super into music, but she says the music business can wait until he is older and knows who he is. One minute Mom is on stage in sequins, next minute she is making dinner like nothing happened. Country queen by night, casserole ninja by six.

Morgan Wallen says he is done hiding behind excuses, and that might be the most grown-up sentence he has ever said out loud. He told CMT that back then, there was always something to blame when things went sideways. Now he says if he messes up, it is on him. Accountability..

-----

Netflix just raised prices again, and at this point your streaming bill is starting to look like a car payment. The ad plan is now $8.99, standard is $19.99, and premium jumps to $26.99. Remember when cutting the cord was supposed to save money? Now we are all just paying cable prices with extra steps. Congrats, we played ourselves.

-----

The iHeartRadio Music Awards wrapped up last night, and if you are guessing who won everything, go ahead and say it with me. Taylor Swift. Again. Save everybody a few hours. Show up, wave, collect hardware, repeat.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
