Welcome to The List,
Bruce Willis has retired because of his aphasia diagnosis, but don’t think that’s going to stop him from making movies…Well, sorta. Last year he sold the rights to his image to an artificial intelligence company called Deepcake. So basically, there’s a “digital twin” of Bruce that can be used to make new film projects. To make A.I. Bruce, Deepcake used content from “Die Hard” and “The Fifth Element” . . . so he looks how he did in those movies.

If it seems like Alan Jacksonhas been around for your whole lifetime, well, he probably has. CMT will honor him with an “Artist of a Lifetime” award during the “CMT Artists of the Year” on Friday, October 14th. Alan says he’s “proud” of this “sweet honor.” He will turn 63 three days later, on the 17th

Trevor Noah announced yesterday that he’s leaving “The Daily Show” after seven years. Trevor said he misses doing stand-up comedy, traveling to other countries, and learning other languages. So, it sounds like he already has a plan for what’s next. Although he didn’t say WHEN exactly his last day would be.

Jason Aldean shared a photo of Hurricane Ian’s damage done to boats. He said, quote, “Florida is our second home and we have lots of friends and family down there . . . We are thinking about everybody who is dealing with the fallout.” Jason has a house in Florida, but it doesn’t sound like it was hit.

It’s not a spoiler to reveal that John Dutton (Kevin Costner) character in Yellowstone becomes governor of Montana in season five. In fact, it’s the opening scene of the trailer for the coming season of the Paramount Network hit. John announced his candidacy and secured the endorsement of the outgoing governor during the show’s fourth season — seemingly to spite Jamie, who was set to run for the post himself. The campaign, it appears, was a successful one. Yellowstone season 5 premieres Nov. 13.

And lastly…new music out today!!
You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

Welcome to The List,
Will there be another Austin Powers? Rumors say Mike Myers is turning down massive offers to bring the franchise back. Sources claim he does not need the money, already made tens of millions, and still cashes in every Halloween. Apparently he is focused on dad life instead of shagadelic life. So no, baby… he is not desperate.

Cody Johnson just confirmed he and Luke Combs finally cut a song together. Fans have been waiting years for this bromance to hit the studio. They toured Australia and New Zealand together, and now the friendship is officially on vinyl. And that is not all. Cody also says there is a track with Brothers Osborne on the new album. That record is about to be stacked.
-----
Ella Langley just hit number one on the all-genre Hot 100 with “Choosin’ Texas.”
That puts her in elite company with legends like Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, Jeannie C. Riley, and Beyoncé. She is also reportedly the first female artist to hold number one on Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, and the Hot 100 at the same time. Released October 7th and it has been sprinting ever since. That is not just a hit. That is a takeover.

And speaking of Taylor Swift, betting sites say there is a 50 percent chance her childhood friend Abigail Anderson is Maid of Honor. They also give a 25 percent chance that Vera Wang designs the dress. We are now gambling on bridal parties. This wedding might need its own sportsbook. Only in 2026, folks.
You can catch The List with Jonathan Knight, weekday afternoons at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
