Welcome to The List,
Well, today’s the day that Netflix sends out its final DVDs. Don’t feel bad if you didn’t even know Netflix still mailed out DVDs. Fewer than a million subscribers held on this long. Those of you who refused to quit your plans get an extra bonus: You get to KEEP whatever comes your way. Some subscribers have been chosen to receive 10 discs as a parting gift. At its peak, the DVD service had 20 million subscribers, and a library of more than 100,000 titles. Netflix shipped its first DVD in 1998. It was “Beetlejuice”.

Dylan Scott tells People magazine that working with a jackhammer was the hardest thing he’s ever done. “You would think … let the thing do the work. But all the tendons in your hands and the muscles in your hands. He did it for two days, he can still feel it. That was the hardest two days of his life.”

The producers of the new “Exorcist” movie had to change their release date to avoid going up against Taylor Swift’s concert movie. But they briefly considered going head-to-head, and trying to create another “Barbenheimer” . . . although this one would have been called “ExorSwift”. And Cops did a welfare check on Britney Spears, after her video where she’s dancing with knives. Police talked to her security, who said she was okay, then left…yeah…Britney Spears is just….fine…no worries there….

The inaugural “People’s Choice Country Awards” went down last night in Nashville . . . and if you were busy watching football, “The Golden Bachelor”, or “Lego Masters”, I understand. You didn’t miss much. If they’re going to give us a fourth awards show in one calendar year, at least make it unique. There was nothing fresh or new. Morgan Wallen won the big award, People’s Artist of 2023, and he wasn’t there. Neither was Jelly Roll after winning Male Artist. Also not there? Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, and Keith Urban . . . to name a few.

Michael Gambon . . . who played Professor Dumbledore in the final six “Harry Potter” movies . . . died after a bout of pneumonia. He was 82. Daniel Radcliffe called him, quote, “one of the most brilliant, effortless actors I’ve ever had the privilege of working with.”

And lastly, you never have to worry about Luke Combs not getting enough exercise….He tells Music Mayhem Magazine that he burns a massive amount of calories during his concerts. “I wear a WHOOP band fitness tracker while on stage and burn around 2,600 calories per show and my band averages anywhere from four to five or six miles.”

Welcome to The List,
Dolly Parton’s taking over the Country Music Hall of Fame, and it’s shinier than a disco ball at a rhinestone rodeo. This new exhibit is full of glitter, glam, and six decades of fabulous. Dolly even teared up, saying, “It’s a long way from the Smoky Mountains to the top of the world.”

So apparently, we’re canonizing craft brews now? Chicago’s Burning Bush Brewery just dropped a new beer called “Da Pope,” inspired by Pope Leo XIV—because nothing says holiness like hops. It's an American mild ale with fruity notes. So yeah, if you’ve ever wanted to drink the spirit of Chicago’s papal pride... now’s your chance to get buzzed and blessed.

Morgan Wallen’s new rap-cover of “Miami” is catching heat—and not the good kind. People say it sounds like he teamed up with Alvin and the freakin' Chipmunks. The chorus? High-pitched and autotuned within an inch of its life. Once you hear it, you can’t unhear it. It’s giving... helium karaoke. Bless his autotuned little heart.

Shakira’s hips don’t lie—but apparently someone’s immune system did. Someone with measles showed up at her MetLife Stadium show in New Jersey. No confirmed cases yet, but symptoms could pop up through June 6th. So if you went... congrats, you didn’t just get a concert—you might’ve got a souvenir virus. Thanks for the germs, mystery patient zero!
