The List for Friday September 18th 2020

Welcome to The List –

Keith Urbans new album ‘The Speed Of Now” is out today and he tells US how he came up with the name…“This title came to me in October of last year, and it was more of a comment about how fast everything was going. So, the title was a bit of a comment on that, but it took a 180 and suddenly now means something very, very different.” Keith’s second single from his new album ‘God Whispered Your Name’ is at number 13 on the US Hot Country Songs Chart for Billboard.

Luke Combs talks about what his experience getting married during a pandemic was like “It was really wild getting married this year….we were going to get married on August 1st, whether that meant no one could be there or a million people could be there. We have just been waiting for a while to get married and I’m so excited that we were able to do it with a small group of our closest friends and family”

Creator of Family Guy and American Dad Seth MacFarlane was on with Jimmy Fallon and talks about keeping busy during quarantine “I’ve been stockpiling scripts of all kinds and I have a recording studio so I’ve been recording Family Guy and American Dad, We’re hoping that we’ll be back soon.”

Sunday’s Emmy Awards will take place in 20 cities and 10 countries. ABC is using 130 cameras to produce the show. Jimmy Kimmel will host the awards show from inside the Staples Center. There will be no red carpet or audience. E! News is hosting a virtual red carpet ceremony with Giuliana Rancic and Vivica A Fox.

Jimmy Fallon talks about Amazon.com’s new invite-only site “I saw that Amazon has launched a new invite only section of it’s sight called ‘Luxury Stores” now you can order a five thousand dollar Oscar DeLorenta gown and have the package thrown over your fence…It’s about time you can order a designer dress that comes in the same box as your ragu sauce and Lucky Charms”

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
