Welcome to The List,
Halloween is Monday, so why not have a scary movie marathon this weekend. If you need ideas, “Entertainment Weekly” put together a list of the 20 best slasher movies. The top three are “Halloween” (1978), “Psycho” (1960), and “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (1984)….I don’t know…Have you SEEN the latest Hocus Pocus?

People who already think “The Crown” shamelessly exploits the Royal Family aren’t going to like this: Netflix is filming Princess Diana’s final car ride . . . in the place where it actually happened But at least there’s this: Sources say Netflix will NOT recreate the actual crash.

You probably have noticed you’re seeing LESS of Shay Mooney of Dan and Shay that’s because he’s lost close to 50 pounds in the past five months. He says he cleaned up his diet, stopped drinking, started lifting weights, and walks seven miles a day. Quote, “I’ve literally never felt better physically, mentally, and spiritually.”

Just in time for the holidays…Tim Allen reprises his role after nearly 30 years in “The Santa Clauses”, with Tim returning as Santa. The new series follows Scott Calvin (Allen) as he struggles to balance his duties as Father Christmas and being an actual father. The first two episodes premiere on Disney+ November 16th and you can watch the trailer below –

If seeing Dolly Parton in concert is on your bucket list, you better get on it. In an interview with “Pollstar”, she said she won’t be doing full tours anymore. She’s NOT retiring, but she is slowing down. She’ll still do shows here and there, but now that she and her husband are “getting older” she wants to stay close to home. She’s still recording that rock album, so they asked if she has any “dream duet partners”. She’s planning to ask Ed Sheeran, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, her goddaughter Miley Cyrus, and Chris Stapleton.

Country superstar Alan Jackson is this year’s CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. He’ll be honored at “The 56th Annual CMA Awards” live from Nashville with a tribute performance from Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, Carrie Underwood, and Lainey Wilson. The CMA’s will broadcast on ABC November 9th at 7pm.

Do you know who painted the Sistine Chapel? Who answered that one correctly?

Welcome to The List,
Tiger Woods is back in the headlines after flipping his Land Rover in Florida trying to pass a truck with a trailer. The vehicle ended up on its side, he crawled out like it was no big deal, and somehow nobody was hurt. He blew a 0.00 on a breathalyzer but refused a blood test and was charged with DUI and property damage. So yeah, that “no alcohol” part isn’t exactly calming anyone down.
-----
Keith Urban is dealing with some awkward rumors linking him to younger Nashville singers, and apparently his daughters are not loving the headlines. Sources say it’s a bad look no matter what, because either he comes off like a womanizer or a guy striking out. Meanwhile, the women involved are flat-out denying everything.
-----
Country legend Charlie Daniels is making a return in hologram form for America’s 250th birthday celebration. The show is set for Fort Campbell and will feature performances from Aaron Tippin and others, along with a digital version of Charlie headlining. His son says it’s a dream come true, which is sweet… but also a little “we’re living in the future now.”
-----
Michael Jordan says he still dreams about making an NBA comeback… in his 60s. He told CBS that competitive fire never really leaves, and he’d love to pick up a basketball again at that level. Which is adorable, because most of us dream about getting off the couch without making a noise.
You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
