The List for Friday, November 6th 2020

Welcome to The List –

When you have a career in the music business like Lady A, you get to create a lot of great memories. Hillary Scott talks about one of hers. “I would say our Crossroads with Stevie Nicks, for me it’s that. Just getting to work with one of our musical heroes, a living legend who you hope and pray that they’re gonna live up to your hope and your expectation, and she surpassed it. I remember feeling after that experience like, if it all ended tomorrow, I’m good. Like, this was awesome.”

Billboard magazine says Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne and Ashley McBryde will open the CMA Awards next week with a multi-song tribute to Charlie Daniels. Little Big Town is going to perform a tribute to Kenny Rogers while Jon Pardi performs a Joe Diffie tribute. The show airs on ABC next Wednesday

OK! magazine says Simon Cowell is walking again following his bike accident and subsequent back surgery. A source tells the magazine, “He’s looking energetic and perfectly happy. He’s found the rehab process hard, but Thankfully, he’s over the worst of it now.

Buzz Bingo studied 3,500 film scripts to find out which actresses have the biggest potty mouths … based on total number of swear words per actress per their films and Emily Blunt topped that list with 81…she just looks like she has something to say I guess…others on the list Jennifer Lawrence, Leslie Mann and Frances McDormand with between 68 and 70 swear words per script…

Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias has got a new gig hosting ‘Unleashed’ for Nickelodeon, he tells Drew Barrymore about the phone call “I’m like well, I have some time right now. What kind of a show is it? As soon as they said animals, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. It is such a fun show, I had no idea animals could be so talented and do so many random things.” “Unleashed” airs Thursdays on Nickelodeon.

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, February 6th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Starting off with some royal news, and surprise, it’s awkward again. Reports say things are allegedly tense between King Charles and Prince William. An insider claims there’s real anger on both sides, with William being described as controlled, strategic, and very aware that he’s the future king. Translation for the rest of us. Two strong personalities, one crown, zero compromise.

-----

The Super Bowl is fascinating because everyone watches it, but almost half of America claims they do not care who wins. A reported 47 percent of Americans have no opinion on the outcome. Among those who do care, more are pulling for the Seahawks than the Patriots. And me? I am rooting for a solid cheese dip and no commercials that make me cry.

-----

Luke Combs is sitting out the Madden Bowl concert ahead of the Super Bowl. Why? Because his wife is expecting their third child. Luke posted that family always comes first and apologized for missing the show. That is called priorities. And honestly, Dad mode beats Super Bowl mode every time.

-----

Jelly Roll is giving one of his Grammy Awards to the juvenile detention center where he once spent time. His wife Bunnie Xo says he wants to give the kids a little inspiration. That is not a publicity stunt. That is a full-circle moment. And possibly the most meaningful Grammy flex ever.

Catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
