The List for Friday, November 13th 2020

Welcome to The List,

Morgan Wallen wasn’t kidding when he told fans on Twitter recently that he was thinking of putting out a double album. On the heels of his New Artist of the Year victory at Wednesday’s CMA Awards show, Morgan has announced a massive, two-disc project, Dangerous, which is due out on January 8. All told, the album consists of 30 songs, plus two exclusive bonus tracks.

Chris Stapleton talks to Jimmy Kimmel about how he got on ‘Game Of Thrones’ “There have been a few people much more famous than I am to get in on the show and have bit parts you know…I want to do that even if I’m going over there you know I’m just layin in the dirt. So, they agreed to let me come and do that.” Chris Stapleton, made a brief cameo as a fallen Wildling-turned-White Walker outside Winterfell as Jon Snow tries to charge the Night King. Which if your a fan of the show…you know that didn’t turn out so well.

Just as NBC premiered their Wednesday night line up of Chicago Fire, Med, and PD…They had to stop production for two weeks on Chicago Fire after multiple members of the series’ production team tested positive for coronavirus. The work stoppage began on Nov. 8. COVID-imposed shutdown.

E! News says the ”Friends” reunion special is going to take place in 2021. Matthew Perry posted: “Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that’s the way I like it!”

Rolling Out magazine says a change.org petition has been started to get LeVar Burton to take over as host of ”Jeopardy.” It has over 8,000 signatures

Jimmy Fallon talks about Ticketmaster requiring people to get a coronavirus test before they attend events. “Come on half the fun of going to a concert is not knowing what you’re going to catch, it backfires when you see sketchy guys selling negative COVID tests outside the arena.”

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Monday, December 8th 2025

Welcome to The List,

George Strait just picked up a 2025 Kennedy Center Honor at the White House, and the moment he took his cowboy hat off, President Trump blurted out, “Oh, he’s got good hair.” George laughed and said, “I still got a little bit.” Forget the medal the real honor was getting publicly validated for still having follicles at 72. The King of Country, ladies and gentlemen… still holding strong up top.

More whispers that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s marriage is struggling and this time insiders say it’s because they’re “living separate lives.” Without The Voice keeping them professionally glued together, the differences are now glaring. Blake’s happiest in the woods with a tractor. Gwen is happiest in L.A. with a contour palette. Now people fear they may be headed toward another Hollywood divorce statistic… even though neither wants that ending. Yeesh.

-----

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly supporting Keith Urban through his divorce from Nicole Kidman. They’ve stayed friends since their American Idol days, and sources say J.Lo reached out immediately when she heard about the split.  Apparently she’s one of the few people not shunning Keith in favor of Nicole. Keith’s grateful for the support, and J.Lo thinks the attacks on him are unfair. Somewhere, Ben Affleck is probably squinting into the distance like, “Really?”

-----

Netflix just bought Warner Bros for $82.7 BILLION billion with a B, like “Bigger than my student loans AND yours combined.” Netflix now owns the entire DC Universe, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, The Matrix… all of it. Batman, Superman, and Jon Snow are basically Netflix interns now. This is Netflix saying, “Forget the streaming wars. We bought the whole BUFFET.” So get ready because the next time that “Are you still watching?” screen pops up, it might come with dragons. And honestly? For eighty-two billion dollars, I better get a discount if my TV explodes.

You can catch The List, afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
