The List for Friday, May 5th 2023

Welcome to The List,

King Charles’ coronation is Saturday…and it seams like the ONLY person that won’t BE there is Russell Crowe!!  Apparently, he wasn’t invited because he thinks in a former encounter, When he met Charles he did not call him “your highness”.  He said it’s quote, “not in my DNA . . .That doesn’t mean however that I meant any disrespect or discourtesy.”.. It may not be ‘In his DNA’ but you really don’t want to refer to Charles as ‘Mate’, which is why Russell thinks this happened. He does however think Charles was a “good bloke’.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is in theaters this weekend.  Here Chris Pratt answers the question…”did you take anything from the set?”  “Oh Man! This is it!  I backed up the U-haul truck, I took it all.  I was past the point were it would be more expensive for them to fire me instead of just letting me take stuff.  That’s a dangerous position to put a man in”  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is in theaters this weekend.

Dolly Parton’s Dollywood is launching its longest roller coaster EVER next week on the 12th.  It’s called Big Bear Mountain and has 3,990 feet of track.  The ride lasts for almost two minutes at a maximum speed of 48 miles per hour.  I want to know if Dolly has had a ride on it yet.

Talent riders can be a monster list of all kinds of goodies for the backstage…Meghan Moroney tells Billboard magazine that she has a small list of things she needs when she’s on the road. “Advil and Red Bull . Saying she probably drinks two Red Bulls a day when she’s on the road. She really needs to have her Airpods for sure, and don’t forget her flashy boots.”

Anti-Music says Miranda Lambert’s new cookbook ‘’Y’ALL EAT YET?” is No. 3 on the New York Times Best Selling List.”  She says, “I can’t actually believe that. I’m so grateful and just – I can’t believe it. It’s for my Nonny in Heaven. This is crazy. So, thanks to everybody who bought it and who is reading it. I love y’all.

And lastly, King Charles’ coronation will take place tomorrow in the U.K.. The Robb Report says one of the highlights of the coronation is going to be when Charles holds the Royal scepter. It contains the world’s largest clear-cut diamond, the Star of Africa. The 530-carat diamond was found in South Africa in 1905. Many South Africans want Charles to return the jewel.

The List for Wednesday, April 1st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Meghan Markle allegedly thought she could jump the royal line. A new book claims she believed she should be queen next. Said she was smarter, better, and worked harder than Kate. That’s not confidence, that’s skipping the entire family tree.

-----

Two Blackhawk helicopters hovering over Kid Rock’s house raised eyebrows fast. Army pilots got suspended while the investigation played out. Then the Defense Secretary stepped in and shut it down. Suspensions lifted, no punishment, case closed just like that.

-----

Keith Urban might be ready to say a little more. A report claims he felt iced out of Nicole Kidman’s interview. She talked family and life but didn’t mention him once. Now there’s talk he could finally tell his side. Nothing says romance like a possible press tour response.

-----

And if you saw Jason Aldean storm off Colbert… relax. That viral story is completely made up from top to bottom. Wrong show name, bad details, zero credible sources behind it. The internet really said “let’s just create chaos today.” Moral of the story, not everything trending is actually true…I know…surprise right??

You can catch The List, weekdays afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
