The List for Friday, May 28th 2021

Welcome to The List,

Eric Church Is Proud That Both Of His Grandfathers Were In The Military … “Both of my grandfathers were World War II veterans. The way that I was raised was very much red, white and blue and very patriotic, it’s the fact that what they give up is the real thing that’s very touching to me.”

Brett Young Is Grateful For The Sacrifices Of Military Heroes “It’s a humbling thing to realize that we’re out enjoying these liberties that they’re providing us. And so, I don’t know that there is a way to be sufficiently grateful, but we make it a point to do whatever we can and always have them in our thoughts and our prayers.”

Chris Pratt has a new movie coming to Amazon Prime called ‘The Tomorrow War’ “The film takes place in both 2021 and 2051.  In 2051 we’re fighting against this brutal alien invading force, they have to develop technology to draft soldiers from the past or 2021 to move into the future to fight against this alien horde.” ‘The Tomorrow War’ starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, July 2nd.

Emma Stone was asked if she hopes to get a free pass to Disney Land because of her role in ‘Cruella’ “That is a good question, I do want to try to go to Disney Land. I don’t know what my having been in a Disney movie pass to Disney Land looks like.  But I would HOPE!!” ‘Cruella’ is currently streaming on Disney+.

Bill Cosby has been denied parole because he failed to complete a treatment program for sexual offenders. Had he completed the course, he would have been eligible to be released from prison later this year.

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
