The List for Friday, June 3rd 2022

Welcome to The List,

If you follow Walker Hayes on his socials, then you know he and his family are very active…and the DANCE moves? Well, it takes a lot of patients from his teacher…”Lela and I just did that for fun.  She loves it, she loves to dance.  She teaches me, she’s very patient with me, it takes me longer to learn them and she learns them so fast.” I think they’re up to three dances now.  I’m still trying to learn the first one.

Seth MacFarlane talks to Kelly Clarkson about his upcoming television series based on his movie, ‘Ted’. I loved the movies, so what got him to do a TV show? “Well, it helped that the studio asked,  it’s a prequel and takes place in 1993. So, we’re kinda digging back into the pop culture of that era.”   Even though no premier date has been announced it looks like it will be picked up by the Peacock streaming network.

Carrie Underwood is doing a one-off next THURSDAY from the historic Bell Tower in Nashville.  It’s to celebrate the release of her new album, “Denim & Rhinestones”, which drops the next day, on Friday.  You can listen to the concert via Amazon Music on Twitch, the Amazon Music app, and Prime Video.

—–

It’s National Donut Day – So happy hunting for the happiness that is a large, glazed object of goodness!!! Pop Culture magazine says ”Married … With Children” may be rebooted as a cartoon. None of the original cast would reprise their roles. Fox, Hulu and Peacock are reportedly interested in hearing more about the reboot.

This is the most excited you will EVER see Luke Bryan  He shared a video of himself moments after catching an 11.6 pound bass.  It’s his lifelong dream to catch a 10-pounder, so this probably ranks up there with the birth of his kids.

A change.org is at it again…..THIS time it’s a petition has been started to get Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, to replace Amber Heard in ”Aquaman 2”. The petition reads, “Although Amber is a ‘credible’ actor and has actually demonstrated it on many occasions, not just in films or ‘perhaps’ on the stand. If Camille is half the actor she is as a lawyer this will be an absolute blockbuster of a film.” Please someone stop this ride…I want off….

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, March 26th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Hookup shows come and go. Paychecks apparently stay forever. Taylor Frankie Paul will still get her full Bachelorette salary. TMZ says the payday lands in the low to mid six figures. The season got shelved after that viral domestic violence video resurfaced. Reality TV motto. Love fades. Direct deposit survives.

-----

Some guys jog. Some guys apparently brawl with neighbors. “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson reportedly got into a physical altercation. Sources say intense behavior is kind of his brand at this point. He doesn’t think he crossed a line. Neither does the authorities,

-----

Country star meets horsepower. This feels aggressively on brand. Darius Rucker is now a NASCAR Cup Series team owner. He invested in Legacy Motor Club which competes at the top level. From singing about wagons to literally owning fast cars. That is what we call career acceleration.

-----

If you like free music. Nashville just planned your summer. CMA Fest announced around 150 artists for daytime stages. Names include Ernest, Melissa Etheridge, Tucker Wetmore, more. The free shows run June fourth through seventh downtown. Wallet stays full. Voice will absolutely not.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
