The List for Friday, February 18th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Carly Pearce talks about writing her and Ashley McBryde’s hit single “Never Wanted To Be That Girl”  ” I just wanted to do something that was a little unexpected, and I didn’t know if she would ever be up for writing. It’s really the only other artist, other than Luke Combs, that I’ve ever asked to write a song with me, and we speak the same country music language.” The second single from Pearce’s third studio album, 29: Written in Stone. Is a top 20 hit for Carly and Ashley…

Would you be interested in seeing photos of GEORGE STRAIT on his tour bus at 2:00 A.M.. . doing tequila shots with former Skid Row singer SEBASTIAN BACH?  Yeah, you heard that right.  Sebastian posted them a couple days ago. It happened earlier this month after one of George’s shows in Vegas.  The whole thing got started because they share a drummer.  Check out the Instagram pic below….

A photographer while taking pictures of the L.A. Rams victory celebration fell off a stage and fractured her spine. . It happened right in front of  MATTHEW STAFFORD and his wife.  While Matthew did a 180 and walked away his wife Kelly went to help the photographer. The List for Thursday, March 26th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Hookup shows come and go. Paychecks apparently stay forever. Taylor Frankie Paul will still get her full Bachelorette salary. TMZ says the payday lands in the low to mid six figures. The season got shelved after that viral domestic violence video resurfaced. Reality TV motto. Love fades. Direct deposit survives.

-----

Some guys jog. Some guys apparently brawl with neighbors. “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson reportedly got into a physical altercation. Sources say intense behavior is kind of his brand at this point. He doesn’t think he crossed a line. Neither does the authorities,

-----

Country star meets horsepower. This feels aggressively on brand. Darius Rucker is now a NASCAR Cup Series team owner. He invested in Legacy Motor Club which competes at the top level. From singing about wagons to literally owning fast cars. That is what we call career acceleration.

-----

If you like free music. Nashville just planned your summer. CMA Fest announced around 150 artists for daytime stages. Names include Ernest, Melissa Etheridge, Tucker Wetmore, more. The free shows run June fourth through seventh downtown. Wallet stays full. Voice will absolutely not.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
