The List for Friday, December 15th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Looking for something good to watch this holiday season? A list of the 25 best Christmas movies includes “A Muppet Christmas Carol”“It’s a Wonderful Life”, and even the John Waters movie “Female Trouble”.  But it does NOT include “A Christmas Story”.  See the complete list HERE

Luke Bryan has a lot going on . . . in addition to his country music career, he’s wrapping up his Las Vegas residency, he’s a judge on “American Idol”, and he owns a bar in downtown Nashville.  Oh, and he has two kids…BIT01 – ”I  love working…but it’s time to just hit pause and sit in a duck blind or a deer blind for a while.” He’s been feeling the pressure for ole dad to be home for a while.

—–

Leonardo DiCaprio has a history dating much younger women…recently it was reported he went on a date with Kate Moss’ half sister Lottie.  Lottie is 25.  And get this:  Leo dated Kate 30 years ago, before Lottie was even born.  Leo and Kate are 49 now…

Jon Pardi tells Country Heat Weekly that he has been sober for over 100 days. “I was pre-diabetic and I was just like, I gotta stop. But I will say I’m retired. Doesn’t mean I can’t come out of retirement, but for right now it’s been great. The weight just fell off my face.

Page Six says Madonna upset her fans by starting her Brooklyn concert three hours late. The “Material Girl” didn’t take the stage until 11 p.m., causing fans to take to social media to express their frustration. Some fans defended Madonna and said she was worth the wait while others demanded refunds.

Watch Bret Michaels and Chris Janson perform a cover of “Your Mama Don’t Dance”.  It’s part of their “CMT Crossroads” episode, which airs on Wednesday. You can catch a snippet of it HERE

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, February 19th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

-----

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

-----

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

-----

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.

You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
