The List for Friday, April 2nd 2021

Welcome to The List,

Tenille Arts has a new song called “Somebody Like That” she says it was nerve-wracking … “I don’t know that it ever stops being like nerve-wracking and exciting.  But, I didn’t know how to feel the night of the release. We had a party and I performed the entire album and it was really really fun but then it was just kinda like ‘Oh, it’s out there now’. Like, that’s it, but then I started thinking about all the fun things I could do now that the albums out.” Her new song “Somebody Like That’ is the third single from her second album ‘Love Heartbreak, & Everything In Between’ and is available now.

Easton Corbin multi hit maker, big shows, but there’s something I always wanted to know…were did his parents get his name ‘Easton’? Was he named after Philadelphia Phillies player John Easton? “I have no idea, were my parents got my name from my dad never played baseball my mom never cared about baseball. So, I have no clue, I was I think born the day after Easter I don’t know if that has something to do with it…um yeah, I have no clue.” I guess that kinda answers that?  Yeah, we’ll just go with that one…

Ace Showbiz says Ariana Grande is lining up to get a huge pay day from “The Voice” next season…she’s getting paid between $20 and $25 million to be a coach.  While Kelly Clarkson earns $15 million while John Legend and Blake Shelton each earn $13 million a season

Michael Strahan posted a video where a dentist fixed the gap between his front teeth….”I gotta thank my boy Dr. Lee at Smile Design Manhattan, for taking care of me and I’m happy that I did it.” Turns out it was an April Fools joke…So, I just wanted to say…April Fools, Come on man!! The gap is here to stay.” Yeah, why would you want to fix something like that….big ole gap in your teeth

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
