The List for Tuesday, March 22nd 2022

Welcome to The List,

Kids…ya gotta love ’em,  Especially the really young ones…in large numbers… Thomas Rhett knows all to well the chaos he went through just like most parents when he took his four of his kids out to eat. "I took all four to Chick-fil-A the other day. That was an act of God, because any time that you’re with an infant – not that every kid is not as important – but when you are literally strollering an infant into a restaurant, the other three are kinda like, ‘Hey, I hope I’ve taught you enough to where you don’t sprint into the street and you’re holding somebody’s hand, and we don’t start throwing French fries in Chick-fil-A.” Adding those are the moments that he’ll remember  when I’m like 55 or 60 years old.”

-----

Jamey Johnson just got inducted into the Grand Ole Opry over last weekend and Carly Pearce remembers her FIRST visit.  "First time I actually got to go to the Opry, I think I was 15, 16. I just freaked out. My mom got us like second row tickets because she knew that I had to see it up close. And this is gonna be funny, but I wore a little white tank top because Dierks Bentley was there and he was a new artist, and he was singing ‘What Was I Thinkin’,’ which is funny. Maybe I’ll tell him that someday.”

-----

We all know that Ben Stiller can do comedy.  But what about horror?  He's going to get his chance, but on the STAGE. Ben will play Jack Torrance in a theater production of "The Shining".  It'll open next January in London. That's the part Jack Nicholson played in the 1980 movie version, but the new play will stick closer to the original Stephen King novel.

-----

Christina Ricci has returned to her "Addams Family" roots.  She's going to be in the Netflix series, "Wednesday" that Tim Burton is making. To be clear, she will NOT be playing an older version of Wednesday.  She has a major role, but it's being kept a surprise. Jenna Ortega is playing a teenage Wednesday, who is attending Nevermore Academy.  Catherine Zeta-Jones is playing Morticia and Luis Guzman is Gomez.

-----

Eric Church went into Green Bay, Wisconsin last weekend as a country star . . . and left as part-owner of the Packers.  A couple of fans gifted him a tiny share of the team. It happened while he was on stage, and there's video of it. You can check it out HERE.  You see Eric holding the official papers . . . and then showing them to a nearby camera so the crowd could see them up on the big screen.  The Packers are the only NFL team that is publicly owned.  There are over 360,000 stockholders.

-----

Lastly, The Daily Mail says John Travolta is now licensed to fly a 737 in addition to a 707 and a 727. He owns seven planes. His Gainesville, Florida-area home has a runway for his small jet.  Some people collect Cars..others Baseball Cards dolls…John Travolta…jumbo jets…

The List for Monday, March 21st 2022

Welcome to The List,

They say you are your OWN worst critic.   Cody Johnson is no different.... He says he can't stand to listen to his songs after he's recorded them “When I hear, because I play live so much. When I hear my recordings, they don’t always come back the way I want them.  I’m always ‘Ah I don’t like THIS..or we’ve changed it on stage.” He says that you poor yourself and time into the studio for so long, by the time it goes out to everyone he doesn’t want to listen to music for a month or two.

-----

You can tell Luke Combs is married…He tells CMT that he's going to miss having his wife around after she gives birth.  She’s usually at every show, and with the baby he thinks SOME things will change adding, It'll be hard to walk offstage and not have her right there to tell me what I did wrong.”

-----

Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock, met in a very awkward way…”The 'Lost City'' actors met at their daughters preschool principal’s office.  Sandra tells ‘Female First’ It seams Everly and Laila were trying to “out due” each other…. and prayed it was the other’s child that caused the damage. “The Lost City” is in theaters Friday the 25th

-----

Maury Povich is planning to wrap it up and retire. He has been hosting his talk show for over 30 years. New episodes will continue to run through September. But Maury is 83 and ready for someone else to tell couple who the father is!!

-----

This never gets old.  After 17 years of guest appearances, JAMEY JOHNSON was finally invited to JOIN the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday.  He was invited by Bill Anderson, the same guy who brought him to the stage the very first time.   CHRIS YOUNG and MITCHELL TENPENNY recorded an acoustic version of "At the End of a Bar".  You can check it out below

https://youtu.be/uqsSwQMwszI

------

The number one movie at the box office for the THIRD week in a row would be “The Batman” with another $38-Million…followed by Uncharted and “X”

The List for Friday, March 18th 2022

Welcome to The List,

The Big 12 is in action in March Madness…and Brett Young Thinks Duke Is Going To Win 'March Madness' ... "I mean, born and raised a UCLA basketball fan. But over the past couple of years and I know they’re back and they’re better now but I’ve kind of lost interest, not lost interest, but I haven’t kept up as much as I’d like to with them. From what I’ve seen, I don’t know if they’re this good in the season, I don’t know how Duke doesn’t just dominate once we get into the playoffs, into the bracket.  There are a lot of great teams in college basketball right now, but if I had to bet on anybody it would be Duke hands down."  You can catch the Iowa State Cyclones as they take on LSU tonight on Kix 101.1 coverage begins at 5:15.

-----

Tyler Henry, is getting a lot of press lately he’s known as 'The Hollywood Medium', says his first prediction was the death of his grandmother. “Well, this all really started with me when I was only ten years old. I randomly one night just woke up and had this knowingness that my grandmother was going to pass away. So, it was really that catalyst that kicked off  the series of knowingness that kinda followed me throughout my life.” His series, 'Life After Death;, is streaming now on Netflix.

-----

Kelsea Ballerini tells TheSkimm.com that there are four items she always takes on tour. Her Throat Coat tea. She has a mug before and after she goes on stage. She needs her humidifier. Never leaves home without it. And her Skyn Iceland eye patches to keep her eyes from looking all puffy. Oh, and I one more thing her weighted blanket.  She can't fall asleep without one anymore.”

 ----

Breland tells People magazine that he plans to take some time off and spend the weekend watching March Madness games and drinking wine with his friends. And the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is not going to honor Dolly Parton's request to pull her nomination…of course if she gets the votes she could always pull a Garth Brooks and not accept the award.

-----

We’ve always heard that Tom Cruise was one of the actors considered for the roll of Tony Stark for Marvels Iron Man…. well he tells the Indian Express Newspaper that it was true and he turned it down  Saying “It had to be done in a way that I know it’s gonna be something special. And it just didn’t feel to me like it was gonna work. I need to be able to make decisions and make the film as great as it can be, and it just didn’t go down that road that way.”  Sounds to ME he wanted it HIS way and THEY wanted it MARVELS way…

-----

THOMAS RHETT's album, "Where We Started", is ready for pre-sale orders and if you DO that you'll have the option of receiving a cassette with commentary from him about each song.  He's going old school because the title of the album feels nostalgic. So, if you’re still driving a car with a cassette player and want to play some music here’s your chance. “When I think about a cassette, I think about being young.  I remember my mom taking me to the store to buy a Faith Hill cassette when I was like, six or seven.  "And with the album being called 'Where We Started', it's kind of just a deep dive into looking back at your younger self, and cassettes are what I grew up with." Thomas Rhett’s album “Where We Started” is out April 1st
