You might remember back in June, when John Cena set a record with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for fulfilling 650 wishes. Maybe not but he did!!  Well, he's now being recognized by the Guinness World Records. John is now listed under "Most Wishes Granted Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation".  No one else has even fulfilled more than 200 wishes. Back when he hit the 500 wish mark, John said, quote, "I just drop everything.  If I can offer a fantastic experience, I'll be first in line to do my part."

Just found over the weekend that Pop star Rihanna will headline the 57th Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 12th in Arizona.  She confirmed the news with a photo on Instagram of her hand holding a football. I know everyone on the Las Vegas Raiders looks forward to watching it on TV.

Darth Vader has retired….well, his actor that does the voice…has…James Earl Jones has been the voice of Vader since the original movie back in 1977, but he's 91 years old now, and he just officially retired. He did, however, give Lucasfilm and Disney the right to digitally recreate his voice going forward, so the character can live on.

A new horror movie is coming out this week, it’s called ‘Smile’ and the studio found a creative way to let people know about it ... sending background actors to live baseball games, front and center.  In all of them, there was at least one person positioned behind home plate that held a super creepy smile the entire time. We’ll take a closer look at ‘Smile’ Thursday with ‘At the Movies’ during the Drive at Five.

Vulture magazine says Shania Twain and Martin Short are in talks to star in ABC's part animation, part live-action reboot of ''Beauty and the Beast.'' Shania is going to play Mrs. Potts while Martin is going to play Lumiere. Josh Groban is playing the Beast. The special will air on Thursday, December 15th on ABC

Mel Gibson tells the JoBlo movie website that ''Lethal Weapon 5'' is going to be made. “It’s in the works, It’s one of those things that’s a no-brainer. They’ve worked on the script and he’s happy with it. He says it’ll come. I’m not quite sure when but it’ll happen.”

Maddie & Tae have a new, eight-song EP out today titled, "Through the Madness, Volume 2".  It's the follow-up to "Volume 1", which came out in January.  Maddie Font says the songs are meant to be "little beacons of hope" to remind us that "there's still good things to look forward to."

Dancing With the Stars Season 31 has already been hit by COVID. At least four cases were reported after the dance competition show's Sept. 19 premiere on Disney+, Deadline reports, Dancing With the Stars employs more than 300 production employees behind the scenes, which is where the outbreak hit.  All four individuals who tested positive are crew members who work separately in "completely different departments that do not have in-person contact with each other, based on our pod system."

Brad Pitt is getting into the skin care business.  He has a new skincare line called Le Domaine . . . and his inspiration was his ex-girl friend Gwyneth Paltrow. If you need more motivation than that to jump on board, how about this:  The products contain antioxidants made with grapes from Brad's Chateau Miraval winery.

More information has come to light about why Maren Morris told the "L.A. Times" that she might not attend the CMAs…it’s because of her dustup with Brittany Aldean (Jason Aldean’s wife). The Internet was all over that.  Someone gave her "serious respect for all the good she uses her voice for."  Another said, "Please, do everyone a favor and don't show up."

It looks like Carly Pearce, Cody Johnson, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, and Walker Hayes are up for the 2022 CMT Artists of the Year.  The ceremony will premiere Friday, October 14th on CMT.  There’ll be special guest performances to honor them that'll be announced as it gets closer…

Roseanne has a new standup special coming early next year.  It'll air on Fox Nation, the streaming service of Fox News.  It'll be her first comedy special in 16 years. It will air in 2023 on Fox's streaming service, Fox says, "The special will feature Roseanne’s signature comedic take on a variety of topics, with no subject off limits.”

Here's one thing I know for sure about Hardy.  He's not afraid of slithering reptiles.  He posted a video of himself removing a decent-sized snake that was on the same fairway where he was golfing. In the video Hardy using one of his clubs pins the snake to the grass, reaches for the head allowing the rest of the snake to wrap itself around that hand. Then takes it away probably to throw it into the woods.

"Saturday Night Live" kicks off its 48th season on October 1st with Miles Teller hosting and Kendrick Lamar as musical guest.  On the 15th, Megan Thee Stallion pulls double duty as host AND musical guest.

Shania Twain's new song "Waking Up Dreaming" is out Friday, but lucky for us, she posted a tease on TikTok.  The video starts with a young Shania playing guitar, and then it cuts to a clip of her kicking it into high gear on stage.  That's followed by one scene after another of her amazing career.

Adam Sandler's been seen in public lately using a cane.  But as it turns out, it's not for fashion.  Adam underwent hip surgery sometime around Labor Day. But don't worry, it wasn't an emergency.  He apparently scheduled it in between projects, so he'll be healed and ready for his comedy tour.  The tour kicks off October 20th in Connecticut.
