The List for Thursday, February 9th 2023

Welcome to The List,

In a new interview with the "Hollywood Reporter", Harrison Ford was asked what he'd want on his tombstone.  He said, "I wouldn't want it to be 'Harrison Ford, blah-blah-blah, actor.'  I'd settle for 'Was Useful.'"  When the interviewer replied that that was a "particularly reductive way to sum up a life," Harrison said, quote, "Well, there's not a lot of space on a tombstone."

-----

Ashley McBryde's strapless lowcut dress at the Grammys definitely popped a few eyeballs.  It was also a very clever way to get people's attention, so she could tie it into her song, "Brenda, Put Your Bra On". She put those two ideas together for a T-shirt that says, "Ashley, Put Your Bra On".  And they're for sale if you want one.  It's a unisex black 100% cotton tee.

-----

Chase Rice's new album, "I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go to Hell", has a hidden song called, "For a Day".  He told Taste of Country Nights that it's attached to another track . . so when you see a 10 minute song, it'll be part of it. The album drops tomorrow.

-----

Screen Rant says ''Toy Story'' fans went wild yesterday after Tim Allen tweeted a picture of Buzz Lightyear along with the caption; ''See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond!'' Disney has confirmed they are making a fifth Toy Story movie.

-----

Parker McCollum had a great mom growing up.  he tells Southern Living magazine that she loved taking care of people. She had his friends over and cooked for them and always welcomed them to the house.  Always made sure we were fed... she has a true knack for that."

-----

And lastly…parents might want to sit down for this…Disney announced sequels are in the works for "Frozen""Toy Story", and "Zootopia"…..And Kane Brown is going to play in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday February 17th on ESPN.

The List for Wednesday, February 8th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Everyone from time to time needs their space….Aaron Rodgers is no different.  He’s reportedly doing a four-day darkness retreat to decide his future in the NFL.  He'll be in complete isolation four days of sensory deprivation, so no TV or music.  But yes, he IS going to continue to play football.

-----

In case you missed it, Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon had their red-carpet premiere for their upcoming Netflix movie, "Your Place or Mine".  And the photos are, well, AWKWARD. Ashton and Reese kept their distance and just stood side-by-side; Ashton wanted to avoid affair rumors. The rumor is we don't like each other."  When in fact Reese and I are really good friends.  We're really close.  I don't have to defend that."

-----

Zach Bryan's Twitter account mysteriously disappeared on Monday, and nobody knows why.  This is a guy who loves Tweeting out his opinions and hot takes. He could be pulling a Taylor Swift, she wiped her social media before rolling out new music a few years ago. Whatever the reason, the timing is weird because he's got a lot going on.  "Something in the Orange" is a massive hit . . . his Burn, Burn, Burn tour is about to start . . . and his beloved Philadelphia Eagles are in the Super Bowl.

-----

Maybe you saw it yesterday on social media, Luke Combs unveiling the track list to his new album “Gettin’ Old”.  He had a hand in writing most of the tracks, but it also includes his cover of the Tracy Chapman classic "Fast Car", "Gettin' Old" is out March 24th.

-----

The next Mission Impossible movie has been put on hold so Tom Cruise can attend King Charles’ coronation May 6th. ''Tom has been invited and there is no way he would have ever turned it down. It shocked some people on the film, because Tom is so dedicated and normally wouldn’t deviate from his intense production schedules. But something as important as King Charles's Coronation is something he would not want to miss out on.

-----

Trace Adkins is getting ready to hit the road he’s announced some dates for his ‘Somewhere In America’ tour.  It kicks off Friday in Lancaster, Pennsylvania . . . and there are shows each month through October.  With a couple dates in Iowa…one is taking him to the ABATE Freedom Park in Algona July 1st and another in Council Bluffs Iowa at Harrah’s Stir Concert Cove July 6th.  Chances are more dates will be added.

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Tuesday, February 7th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Buzzfeed tossed out the names of 50 celebrities . . . and asked people if they have a POSTIVE or NEGATIVE opinion of them at the moment.  Some of the most highly regarded celebrities are not surprising. Keanu Reeves and Danny DeVito, Dolly Parton and Ryan Reynolds were at the top of the ‘Positive” opinion list and at the very bottom? Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos from Amazon.

-----

AMC will soon start charging different prices for movie tickets, depending on where your SEAT is.  The good ones in the middle will cost more, while the worst ones, like the front row, will cost less.  Here I thought they were trying to get people to come BACK to the theater.

-----

Is “Yellowstone” ending this summer?  Kevin Costner might be leaving "Yellowstone", due to scheduling conflicts. That could lead to the original "Yellowstone" coming to an end when Season Five wraps later this year.  For now, it’s just a rumor, but if that happens there's talk of a possible spinoff with Matthew McConaughey.

-----

When you’ve been in a men’s magazine, were part of a TV show, a movie, and married to one of the biggest rockstars in the world…you then get a documentary made about you…a book based off the same documentary…what’s next?  The Daily Mail says Pamela Anderson is getting her own cooking show titled ''Pamela's Cooking With Love". The series will originate from her home in Canada. The Food Network has ordered eight episodes. Pamela will be cooking plant-based meals.

-----

You may remember Lainey Wilson's awesome New Year's resolution when she vowed to "maintain her big back side so more people can kiss it."  Well, a line has formed.  It's actually an Instagram account filled with pics of Lainey's backside.

-----

A couple of lawmakers want to add Steve Earle's 1988 hit "Copperhead Road" to the list of State Songs of Tennessee.  They proposed a bill to be voted on during the legislative session.

The List for Monday, February 5th 2023

Welcome to The List,

What’s good for Dolly….well, is good for Carrie!!! Carrie Underwood may record a rock album. Wide Open Country quotes her as saying, "I mean, you never really know with me. I think, more than anything. I love going to rock concerts because it feels like freedom to me."

-----

Entertainment Tonight says Megan Fox attended several Grammy's parties with Machine Gun Kelly even though she had a concussion and a broken wrist. She did not say how she suffered the injuries. We CAN say for sure…it didn’t come from a Transformers movie…

-----

Jordan Davis tells CMT that he tries to live his life by a movie quote. Saying "One of the deepest movie quotes I ever heard was from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." It was “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” I think we all need to slow down every once in a while, and appreciate the world around us and the people in it."

-----

Fox News says Mark Hamill is signing Star Wars posters to benefit the Ukraine. He says the money is going to help the country in their fight against Russia. Saying “They’re for real hardcore collectors — especially those that have disposable income — you can get way more money … than you would imagine." I guess the $113 – Billion the U.S. Government has given Ukrain already just isn’t cutting it.

-----

Shania Twain’s favorite job before becoming a country star?. She tells Entertainment Tonight, "I worked at McDonald's in several departments, but I loved the drive-thru. I always love, like, 'Welcome to McDonald's, can I take your order please?

-----

And we end with some movie news….M. Night Shyamalan's "Knock at the Cabin" overtook "Avatar: The Way of Water" at the box office with a $14.2 million opening which at least $12 of that is mine. We saw the movie over the weekend and it was better than I thought it was going to be…Ridley Scott's "Gladiator" sequel will hit theaters in 2024…Woody Harrelson will host "Saturday Night Live" on February 25th with musical guest Jack White.
