HBO made some big announcements yesterday, like changing the name of HBO Max to just plain Max.  (It's merging with Discovery+.) But this might have been the BIGGEST piece of news:  and we’ve touched on this once already but today we have MORE details…the "Harry Potter" TV series will be a straight-up REMAKE.  Or, if you prefer, a reimagining of the books, with a brand-new cast.  There's no word yet on casting. It'll also be more faithful to the original story, because they'll take an ENTIRE SEASON to cover each of the seven books. They're expecting this to play out over 10 years….who has that kinda time…

Cody Johnson's Daughters Love John Wayne but says he doesn’t let his girls watch a lot of TV that has a lot of commercials. “A good way to get around that, where you can watch tv… besides cartoons… that dad can actually stand… is throw on any John Wayne movie and my kids, my two little girls love watching John Wayne, their favorite one is Mclintock. And I think that is awesome.“

We lost Kenny Rogers three years ago last month.  Now his first posthumous album is coming out.  It's called "Life Is Like a Song", and it's a collection of ten songs, including eight unreleased recordings. The deluxe version has two additional songs, so 12 total.  It's not out until June 2nd, but two of the tracks are up on YouTube . . . "Love Is a Drug" and "I Wish It Would Rain". It also has a duet with Dolly Parton called "Tell Me That You Love Me".  They recorded it after "Islands in the Stream" was a hit in 1983.

Coming to theaters this weekend is “Renfield” Here Nicholas Cage talks about what he tried to bring to his Dracula character “It was a fusion between that which is genuinely creepy and spooky and also funny and how I could blend those two. He’s stuck doing this, there are things worse than death. He’s stuck getting his heart broken over and over and having to drink blood again and again. I think that’s something I was trying to find.” Dracula's lackey, R. M. Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), wants to split from him (Nicolas Cage) after falling in love with a New Orleans police officer.  ‘Renfield is in theaters this weekend.

The Daily Mail says Jamie Foxx was rushed to an Atlanta hospital after suffering a medical emergency. His daughter, Corrine, released a statement saying, ''We wanted to share that, my father, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. No word on how long the 55 year old actor will be in the hospital or when he'll return to work.  He's been in Atlanta filming a movie called "Back in Action" with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.

Megan Moroney is preparing for her first headlining trek, and she's revealed the five must-have things that she's going to pack:  Fancy cowboy boots . . . sunflower seeds to snack on . . . red wine to sip on . . . headphones, specifically AirPod Max . . . and Red Bull to keep her energized.

Millie Bobby Brown one of the stars of Stanger Things and Jake Bongiovi . . . the son of Jon Bon Jovi are engaged!!. . . They made it Instagram official yesterday. In the picture, Millie shows off her new ring, and some jewelers are estimating it could be worth between $75,000 and $150,000. Millie is 19 and Jake is 20.

Lainey Wilson tells Billboard magazine that she's had to change her lifestyle since becoming a star.  She loves being a homebody…but the career. Well has defiantly changed that. Saying she’s slept in her own bed a total of 15 nights last year alone.  If only you could do concerts from home..

The new "Barbie" movie is getting a lot of press, but,  plot details are being kept under wraps, it sounds like it's kind of crazy.  Margot Robbie says the first time she read the script, she thought, quote, "This is so good.  What a shame it will never see the light of day because they are never going to let us make it."  "Barbie" hits theaters on July 21st.

Deadline Hollywood says Arnold Schwarzenegger and his neighbors took to the streets of their Los Angeles neighborhood yesterday to fix several giant potholes. He posted a video along with the caption; Today, after the whole neighborhood has been upset about this giant pothole, I went out with my team and fixed it. Rod Stewart did something similar in March.  I guess sometimes, you gotta do…whatcha gotta do and if you’re Arnie…you can…

Granger Smith has found a higher calling.  He's retiring from country music to pursue ministry.  He announced it yesterday in a video posted online.. . "I'm making this post to announce this summer is my last tour.  I have felt a strong desire to pursue ministry.  This doesn't mean I'm going to start a church or revival.  It means that me and my family are going to serve our local church.” On August 1st he's releasing a book called "Like a River” Granger's farewell tour is also called "Like a River" and tickets for that go on sale this Friday.  He says the shows will be all about the fans.  We will miss him in Country music but wish him all the best.

Russell Crowe's new movie "The Pope's Exorcist" is based on the supposed TRUE story of a priest who performed exorcisms for the Vatican. Unfortunately, that hasn't earned it the endorsement of the International Association of Exorcists.  They say its purpose is to arouse "strong and unhealthy emotions," such as "anxiety, restlessness, and fear."…yep, job done then…well, if there’s ONE way to get NO ONE to see this movie…. it’s to come out and say how scarry it is….I’m getting advance tickets….

Carly Pearce’s latest number one song, “What He Didn’t Do,” was the final release off of her 29: Written in Stone album. Carly is excited to share the next chapter of her music, because she thinks fans may not even know what to expect. “I feel like in a lot of ways I’ve become a little bit more private with my personal life, to the point that maybe people don’t even know what this music is gonna be like, and that’s kind of fun for me. I like the mysterious side of that.”

The Hollywood Reporter says Kim Kardashian is going to star on season 12 of ''American Horror Story''. Emma Roberts is also returning to the show. The plot and storyline of season 12 are being kept a secret as is Kim's role. All we can say is Emma and Kim…are ‘Delicate’.  Season 12 debuts this summer.

There was a major death on Sunday night's episode of "Succession" . . . but a lot of people had it SPOILED for them by the "Los Angeles Times". The paper ran a fake obituary for the character right after the episode was released . . . and a lot of people saw IT before they could watch the show. Obviously the "Times" was trying to be funny by printing an obituary for a fictional character, but they could've waited . . . even a day would've probably helped.

Carrie Underwood is celebrating 15 years of being a Grand Ole Opry member with a two-show performance at the Opry on May 13th.  There will also be performances from Deana Carter, Michael Ray, and more. One hour of the night's first show will air live on Circle Television at 9:00 p.m. Central.  But the entire show will air on WSM Radio and Opry's website.

Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn have broken up.  A source says, quote, "Taylor and Joe broke up a few weeks ago.  They simply grew apart and plan to remain friends."  We don’t know what Joe’s next step is…but Taylor is already working on her next Grammy winning album…

Radar Online claims Trisha Yearwood has allegedly asked Garth Brooks to spice up their marriage.  She wants more nights out…and less nights in front of the TV…Exotic getaways for two and nights with the lights down low…no more Pizza Hut and Netflix.  She’s losing some weight and Garth is…well, watching her do it..it’s not easy for us couch potatoes once we’ve sprouted those roots in the cushions.

A "mini-riot" broke out during a stage musical version of "The Bodyguard" in the U.K., because audience members wouldn't stop singing along.  The production had to be stopped during "I will Always Love You", which resulted in fights in the aisle and people being forcibly removed…which proves they in FACT will NOT always love..at least each other…

The Skywalker Saga is NOT over . . . not when there's more money Disney can milk from it.  During a Star Wars Celebration event in London on Friday, Lucasfilm announced that there's a new movie in the works featuring the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey. There are actually THREE movies being planned, but it sounds like they're unrelated . . . so we're not necessarily looking at another trilogy.

We've seen Blake Shelton's Hollywood job, his Hollywood home, and even his lovely Hollywood wife . . . but our favorite place is when he's on his Oklahoma farm.  On a tractor.  Being real. He shared another video of himself riding his Kubota tractor as his song "Corn" plays in the background.  He's bundled up, but as far as he's concerned, spring is in the air.

Carly Pearce will perform on the Grand Ole Opry stage for the 100th time tomorrow.  And she's inviting some guests to help her celebrate. So far, the other announced performers include Ashley McBryde, Ricky Skaggs, Dustin Lynch, and The Isaacs.  Carly made her Opry debut in May of 2015.
