The DC Universe has been treading water for years, but all the buzz seems to indicate that "The Flash" is gonna turn things around. And yesterday, major cameo spoiler was revealed that's guaranteed to put butts in seats:  Superman . . . played by NICOLAS CAGE. This comes 25 years after Cage ALMOST played Superman.  He was set to star in "Superman Lives", with Tim Burton directing . . . but the movie was scrapped in 1998.

Florida Georgia Line Star Brian Kelley Says Playing For Our Military Is Deeply Personal For Him ... "For those of you that don’t know, my grandfather was a P.O.W. and two-time Purple Heart recipient. Did you know the Waylon & Willie classic "Good Hearted Woman" was inspired by Tina Turner?  Waylon saw an ad with the phrase "Tina Turner singing songs about good-hearted women loving good-timing men" . . . so he started writing it up and got help from Willie.

Today the world morns the loss of a Rock and Roll Icon Tina Turner. She talked to Oprah and was telling her about how true happiness doesn’t come from material things. “In the past happiness was, Oh, I bought a dress, oh I have this car and we just bought another house It was all material things.  There is one, when I get up in the morning, I go and sit I have a big chair in a room where I meditate. I sit there to finish waking up. inside of me, I say, I give thanks for this feeling.  It’s a feeling of wellness, free, no schedule, no body bothering you.  NOTHING in the way…just that moment of you sitting there where you want to be.” Tina Turner TWO time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame…passed quietly at her home in Switzerland yesterday…Tina Turner was 83 and will be missed.

Luke Combs tells Music Mayhem magazine that he has a fear of horses. "They kind of freak me out. They're so big and they're smarter than you think they are. And they seem like they'd be so unpredictable. I'll stick with smaller animals, thank you."

It's pretty obvious that Jamie Foxx and his family don't want to talk about his recent health issue yet.  But that's not stopping Mike Tyson In a recent podcast interview, Mike said, quote, "He's not feeling well.  They said a stroke."  He didn't say who told him that, and he doesn't sound 100% sure, because he added, "I have no idea what happened to him, If we don't know about it by now, they don't want us to know." Which kinda sounds like Mike’s brain went “oops, shouldn’t have said that”.

Jordan Davis says Memorial Day hits close to home for him because both of his grandparents served, and so did a cousin. “I mean I can’t say enough about ‘em. We live in the best country in the world, and it’s because of those guys and because of the people that came before ‘em”.

Last night was Blake Shelton’s LAST night on The Voice, and he went out with a bang…He later posted a love letter to "The Voice" on Instagram, and said, "Can't believe it's been 23 seasons . . . it's bittersweet . . . I've made lifelong friends and memories . . . Thank you to everyone."  If you missed the season finale last night, It was a walk down memory lane with every team Blake winner from the last 23 seasons showing up to send him off…and yes, he GOT to keep his chair.

Katy Perry has been getting some bad press this season for supposedly being the MEAN JUDGE on "American Idol".  And now she's considering quitting the show.  Katy has been on the show for six seasons, and she actually got BOOED earlier this year for critiquing one contestant's outfits.  She was also dragged online for slut-shaming a 25-year-old female contestant who had three kids.

Dierks Bentley, whose own father was a World War II veteran, talks about the sacrifices made by U.S. servicemen and women… “I think, for me on the road, I just think about being gone two, three days at a time, maybe a couple of weeks at a time, you know. That seems like a long time when you have kids and family, but these soldiers, they’re gone for months and years at a time – they’re doing 12 to 15 to 18 months — and they have family back home. That, in itself, is such a huge sacrifice, and that’s just the beginning of it. That’s just scratching the surface of what these guys [and gals] are doing every day.”

And finally, yesterday we reported Vin Diesel has some Fast and Furious spinoffs in his head…well don’t count on Michelle Rodriguez to have any part of them. She Variety magazine that she has no plans to star in any of the upcoming Fast and the Furious female spin-offs. “You pass the baton on. You take the back seat. You go passenger side. When it [be]comes the next generation, you have to. It’s the only way to let them define the future.”

Jude Law plays Henry the 8th in the new historical thriller "Firebrand" and Jude decided that in order to really inhabit the role, he should SMELL like Henry. As it turns out Henry smelled AWFUL . . . partly because of leg ulcers.  So Jude found a perfume specialist who made him a concoction that mixed the odors of blood, sweat, and fecal matter. Some actors take it kinda far….it’s called acting, can’t you just ACT like you smell bad?   Blood, Sweat and Fecal Matter I’m going to make that the name of my next punk band.

Woody Allen to the rescue!!  He was having dinner in Manhattan when his friend started choking.  Woody jumped up and performed the Heimlich.  The guy says, quote, "If it wasn’t for his quick thinking, I fear I may have died.  I owe him my life."

Justin Moore doesn't understand why his 13-year-old daughter never leaves her room.  Quote, "I've seen the room.  It's not that spectacular to stay in there eight hours a day." She’s a 13 year old girl….and there’s this think called Tik Tok…

Old Dominion star Matthew Ramsey tells Forbes magazine that the band travels with their own 'gourmet chef'. It’s a member of their crew, she learned how to cook and started cooking big family meals.  It really brings us together more like a family than a crew.

Megan Moroney tells Billboard magazine that she doesn't consider what she writes to be love songs. Saying she doesn’t write love songs, she writes sad songs for sad people. If they happen to be about people in love..that’s just a happy accident.  She wants people to feel when they hear her songs…so…she wants people to be sad?

There may be Fast and the Furious spinoffs in the wings…Vin Diesel tells Variety magazine that he wants to make several Fast and the Furious spin-offs.  He’s already developed a female spinoff…he says the sooner he can deliver the concepts the sooner he can launch them…

A homeless man got into Owen Wilson's house and put on a pair of his pajamas.  His assistant came home and scared the guy off, and cops caught him in a neighbor's yard.  It doesn't sound like he stole anything else.

A website ranked all 10 "Fast and Furious" movies.  They put the original at #1, followed by "Fast Five" and "Furious 7".  The new movie, "Fast X", came in fourth.  It also won the box office this weekend with $67.5 million. Timothy Olyphant almost played the top roll of Domonic Toretto…

Old Dominion showed up and surprised Kenny Chesney in the middle of a show in Indiana on Saturday.  They did a couple songs together, and it was great to see Matthew Ramsey out there.  He was in an ATV crash recently, and it's the first time he's been seen walking without a cane.

Hank Williams Jr. did a show in Tampa, Florida on Friday.  So naturally, after the show fans hit up their local Waffle House.  There's a video making the rounds of everyone in the restaurant singing "Family Tradition" together. Check it out HERE

Tyler Hubbard defiantly has a hit on his hands with his latest song ‘Dancin’ In The Country’ you know how he knows?  He puts it at the end of the set and..” The crowd goes crazy, and it’s a just a good way to end the set. Everybody leaves the show really happy. Everybody’s singing that song. It’s sort of an earworm. Even myself, I’m singing it for the next two hours after the set, just because it’s stuck in my head. So, it’s a special song and it’s a fun one to leave the fans with.” Adding the energy just goes through the roof…

Blake Shelton tells Music Mayhem magazine that he will not perform during his last show on ''The Voice''.  Saying “I’ve never really been good at, like, taking in the moment while it’s happening. And so I’m trying to do that.”
