DC has announced its new Superman, and it's . . . nobody you've ever heard of his name is David Corenswet, and he played the projectionist in the horror movie "Pearl".  He also appeared on shows like "House of Cards" and "Elementary", And now, he's the lead in the upcoming "Superman: Legacy", which is being written and directed by DC bigwig James Gunn himself.  Lois Lane has also been cast, and she's a much more recognizable name:  Rachel Brosnahan, star of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel".

. . Well this didn't take too long . . . Ryan Seacrest has been chosen as the next host of "Wheel of Fortune".  He'll take over when Pat Sajak retires after the 2023 – 24 season. Ryan says, quote, "I'm truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak.  It's been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years . I say, Good for Ryan.  It's about time that he caught a break in the entertainment industry.

Carly Pearce will host the "ACM Honors" for the third year in a row.  Honorees include Tim McGraw, Clint Black, Kane Brown, Hardy, K.T. Oslin, Chris Stapleton, and the late Charlie Daniels.  The show goes down live Wednesday, August 23rd.

Sad news to report today, Julian Sands, the 65-year-old actor who went missing in January while hiking California's Mount Baldy, has been found. On Tuesday, the San Fernando Sheriff's Department confirmed that the remains found by recreational hikers in the area of Mount Baldy over the weekend are that of Sands. The British actor is best known for roles in films like 1985's A Room with a View, 1989's Warlock and 1990's Arachnophobia among others.

Old Dominion star Matthew Ramsey tells Billboard magazine that they can't joke about not making it anymore. "We used to joke we were the best known band no one's heard of. The crowd's are telling us we can't say that anymore. We're just so lucky. We feel that every time we walk out onstage. It's hard to ignore now.

Earlier we announced Ryan Seacrest taking the reins at Wheel Of Fortune…well The New York Post claims Vanna White has allegedly hired a lawyer and it’s about money. We talked a little about this yesterday.  Vanna White has been making $3 million a year since 2005 and has only received bonuses since then. She has not received any raises. Sajak makes $15 million a year. Vanna's contract is up at the end of the 2023-2024 season.

Angela Bassett went viral at this year's Oscars, but not in a good way.  The camera caught her looking visibly upset when she lost Best Actress to Jamie Lee Curtis. Well, she's getting a little bit of a consolation prize. She and Mel Brooks are among those getting HONORARY Oscars in November. Angela has been nominated twice . . . first for playing Tina Turner in "What's Love Got to Do With It", and this year for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever".  See, even Hollywood gives “Participation Trophies.”

Toby Keith is about a year-and-a-half into his battle with stomach cancer, and he's got some good news.  He says his health is on a positive trend . . . and he's hoping to return to the road this fall . . IF he can get through two-hour shows. He does acknowledge there are no assurances with cancer.  Quote, "You never know with cancer, so you have to prepare . . . [but] I'm thinking about bringing the band in and setting up, playing somewhere, just to see if I can get through [it]."

There's a real-life "Barbie" Malibu Dreamhouse listed on Airbnb.  Ken is hosting two free one-night stays for two guests at the bright pink three-story house.  Guests will also get their own yellow and pink Impala skates and surfboard.  "Barbie" hits theaters July 21st.

When soccer just isn’t enough…The NY Post says Ryan Reynolds is getting into Formula 1 racing. He and his business partners have purchased a 24% stake in the Alpine Formula Race Team. Ryan and his investors are putting up $218 million. Michael B Jordan is also an investor.

A couple quickies - Harrison Ford tells Deadline Hollywood that the only reason he was cast as Indiana Jones is because Tom Selleck had a previous obligation. And he says thank you.. Gwen Stefani, Def Leppard, Sammy Hagar, Darius Rucker and Dr Dre along with Gail Gadot, Chris Pine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ken Jeong, Eugene Levy and Kerry Washington will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2024.

Jelly Roll skyrocketing in the charts with his hits “Need a Favor” and “Save Me” Recently was a part of a panel for Billboard Magazine that includes other big power players in the genre. A steadfast advocate for mental health he told the crowd that his "me hour" is the key to staying sane during his wild ride.  "I play video games for about an hour every day, No matter what's happening in my life, this is my "me hour," There is 24 hours in a day everybody. We should be able to make a little me time for us. Something you love to do. I encourage you. It helps with mental health so much," Adding, sometimes he plays with friends and sometimes he doesn't, it is important for him to prioritize himself.

Popsugar magazine says Jon Hamm and Anna Osceola married on Saturday in Big Sur, California. The couple met on their show "Mad Men". They wed at Anderson Canyon where the series finale was filmed. Paul Rudd and Tina Fey attended the wedding.

Congratulations to Morgan Wallen!!  He is the first country artist to sell out back to back shows at Wrigley Field in Chicago!! Bailey Zimmerman, Ernest, and Hardy were the openers, but Morgan owned the night.  He performed for two hours, give or take. There was a charitable moment backstage when Morgan donated $100,000 to the Chicago Park District.  The funds will help revitalize a local baseball field.  He said, quote, "The mission with our foundation is to support youth programs in sports and music."

I was hanging out at her house and her door was broken. This is a pretty big level of star power.  Garth Brooks partied with Michael Jordan, Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick in Nashville.  They were all in town for yesterday's NASCAR race the Ally 400 were Ross Chastain took the checker. It isn't shocking that Michael was there.  If you didn't know, he's the co-owner of 23XI Racing, which fields cars for Bubba and Tyler.

Vanna White reportedly wants a huge raise to stay with "Wheel of Fortune" after Pat Sajak leaves.  She currently makes $3 million a year, which is five times less than Pat makes.

Apparently, the Oakland A’s are planning a move to Las Vegas and Tom Hanks tells People magazine that he does not want that to happen!!  Saying, "We've lost the Raiders, the Warriors moved to San Francisco, and now they're going to take the A's out of Oakland. A's fans are the greatest fans in all of baseball." Hey Tom There’s, no crying in Baseball!!

Jay DeMarcus tells People magazine that he is open to a Rascal Flatts reunion. "I would want to say never say never. [But] we're in such different places right now and don't really communicate on a consistent basis.  I think the further we get away from it the harder it is to put it back together."

We all start somewhere, right? Lainey Wilson tells People magazine that she started out as a Hannah Montana impersonator. “I would do three or four events a weekend—birthday parties, fairs, festivals, you name it. It was one of the most rewarding moments I’ve ever had in my life,”.

NBC and Macy’s are bringing the patriotic fun to the 4^th of July with their 47th annual fireworks show this year, and the star-studded performers have been announced. Pop stars Ahanti, BeBe Rexha along with Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson are a few showing up.  The Macy’s 4^th of July Fireworks air live Tuesday July 4^th at 7pm on NBC and will stream on Peacock.

The Voice is upping the anti next season…they’ve lost Blake and are picking up TWO country superstars for the price of one….in the form of Dan + Shay.  Season 25 will see a red double chair. They join Reba McEntire, John Legend and Chance the Rapper.

90-year-old Willie Nelson just announced his 151st studio album.  It's called "Bluegrass", and it'll feature bluegrass renditions of 12 of his own classics.  It'll be out September 15th.
