CBS might be guilty of a little false advertising. Because when Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins performed on the "New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash" special . . . they weren't live. When Blake's segment aired, he was literally just MINUTES from taking the stage for his own New Year's gig at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Morgan Wallen's performance was also pre-recorded. should CBS have advertised it as "live" when two of the biggest performances were not? What do YOU think about that….

And finally sad news on this new year, one of the founding members of the Dixie Chicks Laura Lynch was killed in a car accident you may have already heard involving a truck on Highway 62 near El Paso Texas. Now, criminal charges could be coming for the driver who was driving the truck involved in the crash. Authorities confirmed the driver had their blood drawn at the hospital, but will wait to release the results until the subpoena. If these tests prove drugs or alcohol were involved, charges are likely to be filed. If the severe charges don't apply, the driver could still face charges for reckless driving and unsafe lane changes due to witness statements. The investigation is still ongoing, though. She is survived by her husband Mac Tull and their daughter. She was 65.

Our latest winner for Holiday Edition of Pack the Backpack is Mrs. Roorda – 2nd Grade Teacher @ Montezuma Elementary School. She was nominated by Nichole, Nichole wrote: This teacher offers flexible seating and a teaching style that allows students to have more flexibility in discovering what works for them, rather than being forced to sit in a hard desk chair all day. For an energetic child like mine, this has already proven to be a huge benefit in her learning in 2 short weeks. She feels more comfortable in her classroom and is excited to go to school each day.

Welcome to The List,
People do crazy things at concerts…Tim McGraw tells USA Today that his wife, Faith Hill, sometimes has to calm him down when people throw things on stage. "I've been known to jump off stage and she tells me, if someone throws something at you, do NOT go off stage and go after them. You can hurt the artist or someone else and it ruins the show for everyone. Don't throw anything that could hurt anybody."

Darius Rucker Doesn't Wrap Christmas Presents, and I feel his pain ... "I buy it and go, ‘Honey, wrap this!’ I don’t wrap, and it definitely doesn’t look like Dillard’s’ [wrapping]. It would be frumpy is what it would be" I’m a huge proponent of lots of duct tape…
