Tennessee has become the first state in the country to pass legislation to protect musicians from artificial intelligence. The bill is called the Ensuring Likeness Voice and Image Security Act . . . or, the ELVIS Act.  It prohibits anyone from using A.I. to mimic an artist's voice without their permission.  It takes effect on July 1st. Chris Janson and Luke Bryan, who were present at the signing… called it, quote, "an amazing precedent."

Jerry Seinfeld is reportedly a billionaire.  According to an estimate of his net worth, he's made $465 million on syndication deals alone, and another $94 million from his streaming deal with Netflix….some still hope for a Seinfeld reunion, at this point IF it happens…it won’t be for the money…at least for him.

-----

I know what you’re thinking when you look at Chris Stapleton…YOU see a dare devil right?  Yeah, me neither…One time, he was in line to go bungee jumping and he watched someone's rope snap.  The guy fell into a big cushion and was OK, but that was too much for Chris, who left the line right away. Yep! “see ya!”

The List for Wednesday, March 20th 2024

Welcome to The List,

Bro Country love it or hate it…The YouTube channel "There I Ruined It" did a song called "What bro country sounds like to people who don't like bro country." In 90 seconds, it name-checks trucks 17 times, and beer 18 times.  100% of the lyrics are bro country clichés. They used a Luke Bryan A.I. to get the voice just right. (Here's the video.)

-----

Bill Murray tells Cinemablend that wearing the Ghostbusters pack for "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" was 'torture' at his age. “The packs were uncomfortable. They’re really heavy and, you know, wearing the pack a long time ago was miserable. Wearing the pack now is like torture.

-----

Luke Bryan tells Yahoo Style that Katy Perry was confused by his son's request for deer urine while hunting.  "Watching Katy Perry try to figure out what the hell me and my son were talking about, she was like, 'Did your son just ask you do you have any dope around the house?' I said, 'Katy, he's asking for doe pee.' I feel sorry for her and Lionel, and the country education that they have to get from me."

-----

If you’re hoping for an N’Sync reunion…don’t hold your breath! Joey Fatone says the other guys in 'N Sync aren't waiting around for Justin Timberlake to call.  In fact, they even have to say NO to him because, quote, "everybody's doing things, so either it works out or it doesn't."
