The List for Thursday, April 16th 2026

Welcome to The List,

What would it take to get Blake Shelton back on The Voice? Apparently, a full-on nostalgia stunt. Blake says he’d only come back if the original four coaches reunited for one season. So basically, NBC may need to open a time machine, throw in some hairspray, and bribe everybody with giant spinning chairs.

-----

Luke Combs just landed on TIME’s TIME100 list, which is a pretty nice glow-up for a guy who says without music he’d probably be working some low-level job or learning a trade. Imagine your plumber showing up, fixing the sink, then casually singing “Fast Car” while tightening the pipes. America really chose correctly.

-----

Blake Lively reportedly still thinks she’s getting invited to Taylor Swift’s future wedding, which is bold considering the alleged fallout and all the legal mess floating around. Apparently she sees herself as essential to Taylor and Travis’s love story. That is a level of confidence usually reserved for people cutting in line at Costco.

-----

And yes, a Game of Thrones movie is officially brewing, with the working title Aegon’s Conquest. It’s expected to be a prequel, which means more dragons, more power grabs, and probably more people with names that sound like somebody sneezed into a medieval history book. No release date yet.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
