Laila 1/4/2025

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK, IS LAILA

Laila is an adorable 1-year-old Pit Bull mix who came in as a stray. When she arrived, she was wearing a collar with a piece of tape on it — the only clue to her name. Beyond that, her past is a mystery, but excited to help her build a bright future.

Laila is full of love and energy! She adores people and is eager to please, but like many young dogs, she’ll need a home that can give her guidance, structure, and training to help her grow into her best self. She seems interested in other dogs, though still getting to know how she does with new friends, as well as kids and cats.

Since she came in with little background information, it may take some time for her true personality to shine as she adjusts to shelter life, but with patience and consistency, Laila will make a wonderful companion.

Her $75.00 (since she is the KIX CRITTER) adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, microchip, and health testing — everything she needs to get started in her new home. Find out more ARL Marshalltown

If you’re looking for a young, enthusiastic dog to join your family and you’re ready to put in the time and love she deserves, Laila might be the perfect fit!

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
