AT THE MOVIES…Thursday’s at 5:40, brought to you by North Grand Cinema in Ames and IBC KIX 101.1….

Welcome to The List,
Sabrina Carpenter brought out Madonna at Coachella, which should’ve looked like a full-blown dance floor explosion. Instead, the crowd stood there like a forest of phone cases, filming every second and moving absolutely nothing but their camera angle. That’s why artists keep locking phones in pouches now. Also, Madonna says pieces from her vintage performance outfit are missing, and she wants them back because apparently even legends can’t trust anybody around a corset.

Apparently, the gossip machine says Katy Perry wants to marry Justin Trudeau before Taylor Swift gets to the altar with Travis Kelce. That sentence alone sounds like somebody spun a celebrity slot machine and just let fate decide. Supposedly Katy’s ready to move fast because slow didn’t work either. So now it’s less “learn from the past” and more “eh, hit the gas and see what happens.”
-----
Billy Bob Thornton says he’s been writing country songs, and he’s aiming way more Waylon and Johnny Cash than whatever’s on the radio now. In fact, he says modern country sounds like “Def Leppard with a steel guitar,” which honestly is rude, hilarious, and weirdly specific. So if you’ve been craving country with grit instead of glitter, Billy Bob apparently showed up with a notebook and a grudge.
-----
Jelly Roll says he got a little wild with food over the holidays, broke his collarbone before Christmas, and put 12 pounds back on. He’s now at 276 and still training for the New York City Marathon, which is 26.2 miles of pure bad decision if you hate running. But Jelly says he wants to lose the last chunk of weight and end up shirtless on the cover of a major magazine. That’s either inspiring or the greatest plot twist in country music.
You can catch The List, on weekday afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

Grizzly is a German Shepherd with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He absolutely loves attention and will happily lean in for pets or give hugs, showing off his affectionate “big baby” side. He forms strong bonds with his people and enjoys being close, making him a very loyal and loving companion. Grizzly walks well on a leash, knows basic commands, and is mostly potty trained, though he may benefit from continued routine and consistency in a new home.
Grizzly has a high energy level and will need regular exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep him happy and well-balanced. He would do best with an active owner who can provide structure and outlets for his energy. While he is very people-oriented, Grizzly does not do well with other dogs and should be placed as the only dog in the home. The only known exception is Tera from the adoption program, with whom he has shown compatibility.
Grizzly is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested, and microchipped. He would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention, continue building on his training, and truly be the center of his owner’s world.

Terra is a Pointer mix. She is sweet, independent girl who is ready to find a calm and loving forever home. She came in with her best friend and has shown she enjoys companionship, but she is also confident and comfortable doing her own thing.
Terra loves spending time outdoors—one of her favorite pastimes is relaxing and watching birds. She would thrive in a home that appreciates her peaceful, observant nature and gives her space to enjoy the world around her.
She is potty trained and has great basic manners. Terra is fully up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, microchipped, and spayed.
Terra would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a calm, independent companion who still enjoys gentle connection and time together.
