The Morning KIX Start

David Braga joined KIX 101.1 on August 15th, 2025 after being part-time on both KIX and KFJB for just over a year.

David hosts The Morning KIX Start alongside Brandon Lewis and is also the Assistant Promotions Director for KIX 101.1 and a utility man for all things KFJB-TV (producing, camera, commentating, etc.)

Before joining KIX 101.1 he was a student at Iowa State University majoring in Journalism. This is the first true spot in his career and looks forward to growing and improving day after day both on and off the air.

David was born in Alexandria, Minnesota and enjoys watching sports (Iowa State Cyclones, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs), playing video games, and being a part of all things nerd culture (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons.)

Brandon Lewis joined KIX 101.1 on August 1, 2019.

Brandon is part of the Morning KIX Start with Dave. He is also the Program Director for KIX 101.1 and Director of Broadcast for KFJB-TV.

Before joining KIX 101.1, he was the Station Manager / Sales Manager at KCHA-AM/FM and KCZE-FM in Charles City and New Hampton. Brandon began his career at KILR in Estherville, Iowa. Other career stops include News Director at KSIB in Creston, Iowa, Sports Broadcaster at the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama and News Anchor / Sports Announcer at KTOE in Mankato, Minnesota.

Brandon was born in Brighton, Colorado and enjoys watching the Colorado Buffaloes and playing a round of golf.
