The List for Friday, June 16th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Arnold Schwarzenegger can’t run for president because he’s not a natural born citizen.  But boy, does he wish he could.  He would have run in 2016, too. He says, “I think the field was wide open in 2016. And I think the field is open right now, “It’s a no brainer.  I see so clearly how I could win that election.”

Ryan Reynolds already does so much for us, does he really have to tuck us in at night, too?  The answer is, apparently, yes.  Ryan has a new show called “Bedtime Stories with Ryan”, and it’s exactly what it sounds like:  Ryan Reynolds reading, quote, “classic” bedtime stories. The show will be on the streaming service Fubo, on Ryan’s new Maximum Effort channel.  It premieres on Tuesday June 20th

Jelly Roll tells Fox News that he wants to perform at the Grand Ole Opry with Dwayne ”The Rock” Johnson and Johnny Depp.  We don’t know what “The Rock” would do but Jelly is going so far as to formally invite Depp to play guitar on an album even if it’s uncredited.  He says just knowing it’s him is enough.

Jordan Davis is a new father..AGAIN…and he says he’s excited to bring the new baby home… “I’m excited to meet the new one and bring ‘em home and let big sister…you know now Eloise can actually, she knows what’s going on. She knows we’re getting a new baby, and I know she’s excited, so I’m ready to see her face when the baby comes home.” Their son, Elijah Patrick Davis, weighed 10 lbs., 1 oz., and measured 22 inches long.

The Daily Mail says Kevin Costner’s divorce is getting ugly. His estranged wife, Christine, rang up $95,000 on his credit card and got a restraining order against him. She also refuses to move out of their marital home. Per their prenup, Kevin gave Christine $1 million after she filed for a divorce and another $200,000 for a cash deposit on a new home.

The NY Post says Tiger King star Joe Exotic is getting serious about running for President and has filed paperwork to challenge Joe Biden in the Colorado Democratic primary.  Someone needs to tell Joe that a convicted felon can’t be president. He’s not NEAR corrupt enough.

The List for Thursday, February 19th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

-----

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

-----

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.

You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
