Welcome to The List,
Ryan Gosling didn’t really see himself as Ken before he was cast in the “Barbie” movie. He says “If I’m being really honest, I doubted my Ken-ergy. I didn’t see it.” He added that one day he was just living his life, and the next day, “I was bleaching my hair and shaving my legs and wearing bespoke neon outfits and rollerblading down Venice Beach. Well, we’ll see if movie goers doubt your Ken-ergy when the Barbie movie hits theaters July 21st.

Dolly Parton’s first ROCK album is coming this fall. It’s called “Rock Star”, and now we know when we’ll hear the first single. She told “Good Morning America” it’ll debut May 11th at the end of the “ACM Awards”, which she’s co-hosting with Garth Brooks. The song is called “World on Fire”. She says it’s sort of a “rock anthem.

Luke Combs and his wife Nicole are having a “really difficult time” coming up with boy names for their second son, who’s due in September. They have a hundred girl names on the list, but that’s no help. He kind of expects it’ll come down to the last minute just like it did with their son, Tex Lawrence.

Flash back to 1983 and country songstress Crystal Gayle had back-to-back songs go No. 1 in just eight weeks apart. At that time it was unheard of. Now flash forward to this week and everyone’s favorite bell bottom queen just shattered that record. Lainey Wilson’s two chart-topping hits came within three weeks of each other Of course, the two songs we are speaking of are Heart Like A Truck, and this week’s No. 1 song with friend HARDY wait in the truck.

Keith Urban tells Billboard magazine that his daughters don’t know what a boom box is. He says, “I was trying to recreate that scene from “Say Anything” where the guy was standing underneath his girl’s window with a boom box playing “In Your Eyes”. I was telling the family about my idea when my daughter looked at me and asked what a boom box was. I swear I aged 20 years right there. “I bet she knows what a record is though…

Welcome to The List,
Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.
You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
