Welcome to The List,
Talk about the end of an era: Big news from Netflix…they’re ending their DVD-by-mail business after 25 years. And yes, people ARE still getting DVDs by mail from Netflix. But not for much longer. The last of those red envelopes will be mailed out September 29th . . . and will have to be returned by October 27th. Netflix also announced that they’ll be phasing in their “paid sharing” plan in the coming weeks . . . which is a less aggressive way to say that they’re cracking down on password sharing.

“America’s Got Talent” finalist Drake Milligan was injured in a car crash in Texas on Sunday. A tire from another vehicle hit his tour van, and the van slammed into a concrete median. But luckily, it doesn’t sound too serious. He and a few bandmates went to the hospital, but he posted an update on Instagram and said everyone’s okay.

OK! magazine claims Ben Affleck is allegedly trying to keep things civil between Jennifer Lopez and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. A source tells the magazine that Garner upset Lopez when she said she tries to keep her family out of the media. “It’s Jennifer’s way of saying Ben looks miserable and all his appearances in public are lame. The HARDY WE know almost wasn’t, He tells Forbes magazine that he wasn’t sure if he wanted a record deal. Saying he went in there and half the record label is in the room. And they said, ‘We’re offering you a record deal.’ I was like oh God, because I was still apprehensive. I just didn’t know what it would entail. I was very, very content with the way my life was going.” I think we’re glad he signed…

Welcome to The List,
Will there be another Austin Powers? Rumors say Mike Myers is turning down massive offers to bring the franchise back. Sources claim he does not need the money, already made tens of millions, and still cashes in every Halloween. Apparently he is focused on dad life instead of shagadelic life. So no, baby… he is not desperate.

Cody Johnson just confirmed he and Luke Combs finally cut a song together. Fans have been waiting years for this bromance to hit the studio. That record is about to be stacked.

Ella Langley just hit number one on the all-genre Hot 100 with “Choosin’ Texas.”
That puts her in elite company with legends like Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, Jeannie C. Riley, and Beyoncé. She is also reportedly the first female artist to hold number one on Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, and the Hot 100 at the same time. Released October 7th and it has been sprinting ever since. That is not just a hit. That is a takeover.

And speaking of Taylor Swift, betting sites say there is a 50 percent chance her childhood friend Abigail Anderson is Maid of Honor. They also give a 25 percent chance that Vera Wang designs the dress. We are now gambling on bridal parties. This wedding might need its own sportsbook. Only in 2026, folks.
You can catch The List with Jonathan Knight, weekday afternoons at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
