The List for Wednesday, March 1st 2023

Welcome to The List,

On yesterday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, Brendan Fraser said he accidentally got choked out while shooting the 1999 movie “The Mummy” it was the scene at the beginning of the movie where his character is hung at an Egyptian prison.  Brendan was standing on his toes with a rope around his neck.  But the guy holding the rope pulled it a little TOO high. Bing Bada Boom and he woke up on the ground with gravel in his teeth. There was a stunt coordinator who said, ‘Congratulations, you’re in the club . . . the same thing happened to Mel Gibson on ‘Braveheart’ . . . And YOU wanna be an actor?

Morgan Evans released a five-part docuseries on YouTube that started out as a look into his life and music in Australia.  But his divorce from Kelsea Ballerini changed things.  He says, quote, “The original focus was on the music and coming home.  “But it’s not like I could pretend like something wasn’t going on.”  That’s when he poured his feelings into the song, “Over For You”.  The docuseries highlights his impromptu performance of it last fall in Australia.  You can watch it now below.

Blake Shelton tells Entertainment Tonight that he misses Gwen Stefani when he’s on tour. “It’s terrible being away from home. Right now, they’re having bad storms back in California, and I hate not being there. Not that anything bad is happening… but I know they’re kind of freaked out and it’d be nice to be home.

If you’ve heard reports that Tom Brady is wanting to launch a standup career, well, they’re BOGUS.  But that doesn’t mean he’s not interested in comedy. TMZ says Brady is in talks with Netflix to be the subject of a ROAST . . . tentatively titled “The Greatest Roast of All Time”. He also plans on spending time with his kids before starting his 10-year, $375 million broadcasting deal with Fox.

Pamela Anderson has done it…along with many other entertainment personalities…NOW, Paula Abdul tells E! News that a movie about her life is in development. Saying she’s being wooed by different streamers and networks. But for her…it wouldn’t be a straight documentary style…I’m a choreographer, so I’d have to tell it the way my mind works creatively.

Just when you think HARDY is ready for some well-deserved rest, he surprises us again!  Today, the Mississippi heavy hitter surprised fans to three new performance tracks with an all-new, exclusive Apple Music Sessions. The List for Monday, February 16th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs just committed the ultimate sports betrayal…he wore a Jacksonville Jaguars hat. Panthers fans immediately grabbed their pitchforks and pumpkin spice lattes and accused him of treason. One fan called him fake. Luke fired back saying, yeah, maybe he should have worn Panthers gear while playing in the Jaguars stadium…his bad. This man gave us “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” not “I Pledge Allegiance to Your Fantasy Football Team.”

Miranda Lambert kicked off the Daytona 500 in front of more than 100,000 screaming NASCAR fans. She admitted the massive crowd made her nervous, which is relatable, because the only thing scarier than that many people is that many people who drove there aggressively. She said it already felt like a concert thanks to the tailgating.

-----

Hollywood officially ran out of ideas sometime around 2007, and now Charlie’s Angels is getting rebooted…again. Sony is already working on it, with the Crazy Rich Asians writer attached, and Drew Barrymore possibly involved behind the scenes. So yes, prepare for dramatic slow-motion walking, explosions that defy physics, and a plot nobody remembers. That’s Hollywood innovation….rebooting a reboot of a reboot of a reboot.

-----

If you were waiting for The Simpsons to end, I have terrible news…you’ll be waiting forever. The showrunner says it will never have a real finale because the characters live in permanent cartoon Groundhog Day. They already did a fake ending just to mess with us. At this point, three things will survive the apocalypse: cockroaches, Twinkies, and Homer Simpson.

Get details on these stories at 4:20 this afternoon on The List, with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
