The List for Friday, February 10th 2023

Welcome to The List,

Roseanne believes that she’s the only “canceled” comedian who lost everything and had no one to defend her publicly.  She also called what happened to her a witch-burning. She says, quote, “Louis C.K. did lose everything, but he committed an actual [offense].  And Dave Chappelle was protected by Netflix.

It’s hard to believe, but we’re already up to Puppy Bowl 19.  The rosters for Team Ruff and Team Fluff were announced yesterday.  The “game” airs Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Eastern on Animal Planet.  Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes enters the Super Bowl as this year’s NFL MVP. And Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was named the Walter Payton Man of the Year.

—–

Chris Stapleton will become the ninth country star to do the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this Sunday.  But not many country stars have performed at the big game.  There hasn’t been one in the halftime show since Shania Twain in 2003. Even though Chris Stapleton is doing that Dierks Bentley wants the NFL to step it up even more and have Chris do next year’s halftime show.

Alec Baldwin is facing another lawsuit in connection with his role in the October 2021 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust this time from her parents and sister, lawyers for the family said on Thursday. In October, Hutchins’ husband and son settled a wrongful death suit against Baldwin and the film’s producers. The parties in the new suit weren’t a part of the deal.

Carly Pearce tells Everything Nash that she has several requirements for a romantic relationship. “Trust is probably the biggest non-negotiable for me. I just wanna be treated with respect. chivalry is not dead, they have to have a sense of humor and they have to love country music and they have to love June, my puppy. If they don’t love June, they’re out. You gotta love dogs.”

—–

And finally, Elizabeth Banks directed “Cocaine Bear” and she joked she’d be open to doing a cocaine shark movie next.  Quote, “‘Jaws’ with cocaine, I don’t see how that loses.”…I do….

The List for Tuesday, March 31st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Taylor Swift has officially entered her glittery legal era again. A Las Vegas performer says Taylor’s use of “The Life Of A Showgirl” is stomping all over her own brand, “Confessions of a Showgirl.” She’s suing for trademark infringement, wants damages, and an injunction too.

Only Kid Rock could turn a poolside salute into a military investigation. The Army says two Blackhawk helicopters near his Tennessee mansion were just on a Nashville training route, but now they’re checking into why they hovered there. Kid says nobody’s getting in trouble and called it pretty neat. Nothing says casual Tuesday like cannonballs, patriotism, and two black helicopters hovering near your house…

-----

Riley Green is stacking side quests like a pro. He’s making his TV debut on Marshals in mid-April. And because sleep is for other people, he’s also reportedly opening a second Duck Blind bar in Gatlinburg. At this point Riley’s building a country music cinematic universe.

-----

Thomas Rhett says one of his favorite parts of touring is trying wild new foods on the road, which sounds adventurous and expensive. Meanwhile Dylan Scott keeps it a little more backyard chaos at home, admitting he’ll wander into the kitchen at midnight and cook a full meal like it’s noon. His wife wakes up confused; he’s making dinner round two. That’s not a snack, that’s a second shift.

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK, PIEREE!

He is about a two year old tabby who came to the ARL as a stray. He came in with an injury to his hip, but thankfully it was the serious and has fully healed. That's when the ARL staff realized Pierre is a cuddy bug who loves to snuggle. They believe he would be good with other cats too. Since Pierre is the KIX Critter his adoption fee is half off the regular price of $50, you can make him your couch buddy for $25.00!! More info
