The List for Thursday, February 9th 2023

Welcome to The List,

In a new interview with the “Hollywood Reporter”, Harrison Ford was asked what he’d want on his tombstone.  He said, “I wouldn’t want it to be ‘Harrison Ford, blah-blah-blah, actor.’  I’d settle for ‘Was Useful.'”  When the interviewer replied that that was a “particularly reductive way to sum up a life,” Harrison said, quote, “Well, there’s not a lot of space on a tombstone.”

Ashley McBryde’s strapless lowcut dress at the Grammys definitely popped a few eyeballs.  It was also a very clever way to get people’s attention, so she could tie it into her song, “Brenda, Put Your Bra On”. She put those two ideas together for a T-shirt that says, “Ashley, Put Your Bra On”.  And they’re for sale if you want one.  It’s a unisex black 100% cotton tee.

Chase Rice’s new album, “I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go to Hell”, has a hidden song called, “For a Day”.  He told Taste of Country Nights that it’s attached to another track . . so when you see a 10 minute song, it’ll be part of it. The album drops tomorrow.

Screen Rant says ”Toy Story” fans went wild yesterday after Tim Allen tweeted a picture of Buzz Lightyear along with the caption; ”See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond!” Disney has confirmed they are making a fifth Toy Story movie.

—–

Parker McCollum had a great mom growing up.  he tells Southern Living magazine that she loved taking care of people. She had his friends over and cooked for them and always welcomed them to the house.  Always made sure we were fed… she has a true knack for that.”

—–

And lastly…parents might want to sit down for this…Disney announced sequels are in the works for “Frozen”“Toy Story”, and “Zootopia”…..And Kane Brown is going to play in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday February 17th on ESPN.

The List for Friday, February 13th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Brantley Gilbert sang “Dirt Road Anthem” at the Turning Point USA halftime show, and Zach Bryan took it personally. So Zach dropped a parody called “Chili on a Hot Dog,” basically roasting the lyrics and celebrating double-fisted chili dogs like it’s a county fair championship. Brantley fired back by grabbing two foot-long chili dogs on stage and acting it out. Jason Aldean chimed in with, “Best song I’ve heard from that guy.” Nothing says country unity like processed meat.

-----

Thomas Rhett admitted on a podcast he’s losing hearing in one ear at 35 and had to get hearing aids. Years of loud concerts… plus four kids and a fifth on the way. He wore them for a week and asked his wife, “Is this what you hear all day?” She basically said, welcome to marriage. Turns out the loudest tour of his life is at home.

-----

There’s a new indie horror movie called ‘The House Was Not Hungry Then’, told entirely from the haunted house’s perspective. No close-ups. No dramatic reaction shots. Just the house silently watching a woman search for her missing father. It hits video on demand February 13th. So now even the drywall is judging you.

-----

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer says he’s working on Top Gun 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 6. He told Screen Rant it’s basically a horse race. Right now Top Gun is barely ahead, waiting on a script. So Maverick might fly again… or Jack Sparrow might stumble back in. Hollywood is saying…. originality is overrated.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
