Welcome to The List,

Happy New Year…I guess, 20-23 is making it’s presents known….Last night’s “Monday Night Football” game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals was postponed, after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field in the first quarter. Hamlin had just tackled receiver Tee Higgins.  He hopped back to his feet, then fell straight backwards.  CPR was administered for several minutes, before Hamlin was taken by ambulance to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. As of now Hamlin who is 24 years old reportedly had a cardiac event and  is in critical condition.

The Daily Mail says Jeremy Renner is in critical, but stable condition following a snow plowing accident.  Jeremy was airlifted to a hospital on Sunday after First Responders were called to his mansion in the Sierra Nevada mountains. He was reportedly injured while using one of his industrial snow plows. Hollywoodlife.com says the snow plow ran over one of Jeremy’s legs. TMZ says one of Jeremy’s neighbors, who’s a doctor, placed a tourniquet on his leg in order to stop the massive bleeding. That’s when Medics arrived and airlifted Jeremy to the hospital. CNN says Jeremy has undergone two extensive surgeries to save his leg.  He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”

Jelly Roll tells Music Mayhem magazine that he plans to lose weight in 2023. “I’m going to spend the first couple months of the year just focusing on family and health. I lost some weight this year in 2022, but in 2023, I wanna finally conquer the demon. Jelly doesn’t have a big tour until about the middle of the year so,  he says he has a friend that owns a gym and we’re gonna start getting after it at the top of the year.

The National Enquirer claims Tom Cruise was allegedly upset after being snubbed by the Golden Globe Awards for a Best Actor nomination for ”Top Gun: Maverick.” A source tells the magazine, “Tom expected to walk away with the award for best actor, so you can imagine his reaction when he wasn’t even on the list – he totally blew a fuse! This was the first time in years that Tom was so sure he had a slam-dunk win he was fine-tuning his acceptance speech.”

For the second year in a row…Jason Aldean and wife Brittany rang in the  New Year at Mar-a-Lago.  Brittany shared some photos on Instagram. The List for Thursday, February 12th 2026

Welcome to The List,

We are saddened to report that James Van Der Beek has passed away at the age of 48 after battling stage 3 colorectal cancer. His family confirmed the news on social media, sharing that he had been fighting the disease since August 2023. Van Der Beek became a household name as Dawson Leery on Dawson's Creek, a show that defined a generation of television. He leaves behind his wife and six children. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans.

Players on the winning Super Bowl team get $178,000 from the NFL. But Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold could reportedly lose money because of California’s “jock tax.” Out-of-state players get taxed based on duty days spent in the state. With his massive contract and bonuses, estimates say he could owe between $200,000 and $250,000. Win the ring, lose to taxes. Classic.

Luke Combs just revealed the full 22-song tracklist for his new album The Way I Am. It includes a duet with Alison Krauss. And a song written by Cody Johnson. Twenty-two songs is not an album. That is a weekend.

-----

Kelly Clarkson is reportedly ending her talk show and says she has no regrets. Sources say it is about quality of life, not money. She is excited, but sad to leave staff she considers family. Sometimes success is not about doing more. It is about breathing again.
