Is “Die Hard” a Christmas movie or not?  The world may never truly get to a consensus on this. But this might sway a few people.  A new trailer that was made to promote the movie’s release on 4K presents “Die Hard” as, quote, “The greatest Christmas story ever told.” Bruce Willis’s John McClane is just a dad who wants to spend the holiday with his family, but, quote, “gets stuck at the office party.” In case you’re wondering where Bruce stands on the issue . . . during his Comedy Central Roast in 2018, he said “Die Hard” is, quote, “a Bruce Willis movie.”

James Gunn and his partner Peter Safran are really shaking things up at DC.  And that includes a big switch for Jason Momoa. Sources say that after “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” comes out next December, Jason will be officially done with the character.  But he’s not getting the axe. Instead, he’s going to play a DIFFERENT DC character . . . the anti-hero Lobo.

The List for Thursday, February 19th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Travis Kelce is out here setting expectations so high the rest of us are gonna get yelled at for bringing home gas station flowers. He’s reportedly spent $141,000 on pre-wedding gifts for Taylor Swift, including Rolex watches, designer jackets, and daily flower deliveries. Daily. Meanwhile, I forgot my anniversary once and tried to fix it with a breakfast burrito. Travis Kelce just ruined relationships for every man in America.

-----

Lainey Wilson is teasing new music, and the title might be the most Lainey Wilson thing ever. The new single is called “Can’t Sit Still,” which tracks, because she’s been everywhere except my back yard party. She says her friends describe her as “a suitcase with legs,” which honestly sounds like Delta Airlines lost her twice already. No official release date yet, but she says it’s coming “real soon,” so prepare your playlists accordingly.

-----

Bunnie XO just revealed she thought Jelly Roll was a jerk when they first met, which proves once again women love a fixer-upper. She said he had “teddy bear with teeth energy” and sad eyes, and she basically looked at him like a home improvement project from HGTV. Fast forward to now, they’re one of Country music’s biggest power couples. Moral of the story, sometimes the guy who ignores you becomes your husband.

-----

The new Mummy reboot is ditching the Tom Cruise action vibe and going straight for emotional damage. This one’s from the director of Evil Dead Rise, so instead of running from explosions, you’ll be running from your own nightmares. It’s about a girl who disappears and comes back after spending quality time inside a 3,000-year-old coffin. It hits theaters April 17th, and I’ll be watching it from the safety of daylight and denial.

You can catch The List, this afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
