The List for Tuesday, November 22nd 2022

Welcome to The List,

If you could have a celebrity over for Thanksgiving, who would it be? Morgan Freeman topped a list of celebrities we’d MOST like to invite over for Thanksgiving dinner.  Robert Downey, Jr. was second. Others who made the cut. Jimmy Fallon, Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Aniston.

If you spent any time watching “Chrisley Knows Best” on the USA Network . . . you should be aware that the Chrisleys do NOT know best. Back in June, Todd and Julie Chrisley were found guilty on federal charges of bank fraud, tax evasion, and conspiring to defraud the IRS.  They’d been caught submitting fake documents to take out more than $30 MILLION in loans to “fund their lavish lifestyle.”  Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison plus 16 months of probation, while Julie got seven years behind bars and 16 months of probation.  Their shows have been canceled, obviously.

Miranda Lambert has a new cookbook coming out next April called, “Y’all Eat Yet?”.  It features recipes she learned from “two generations of hell-raising, hard working women who knew how to make people feel good.”

—–

Jackson Dean is ‘Yellowstone Famous’ knew “Don’t Come Lookin'” would be featured on “Yellowstone”, but seeing the actual episode as it aired, blew him away. “They played a like minute and a half of my song, [and] then it goes to Kevin Costner, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, there’s a piece of film in the world that has my song playing and Kevin Costner in it at the same time.  This is insane.”  He’s been watching Kevin Costner’s work all his life and it was pretty mind blowing for him.

Author Stephen King has yet to get into the holiday spirit. He ranted yesterday on Twitter:  “The political ads stopped just in time for the Christmas ads to start. The next time I hear ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’ I’m gonna blow up my radio. I forget what is the male equivalent to a ‘Karen’ ?

—–

Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, and Chris Young are some of the rotating set of performers at this year’s “Opry Country Christmas”.  It’s eight nights of shows at the Grand Ole Opry, and they start November 27th.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Tuesday, February 17th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Keith Urban is reportedly planning a Bahamas getaway with Nicole Kidman and their daughters to reconnect as a family. Because nothing fixes family tension like sunshine, ocean views, and drinks with tiny umbrellas. Sources say the Bahamas is neutral territory, not tied to Nashville, LA, or lawyers.

-----

AJ McLean says it’s time for a ‘90s pop Super Bowl halftime show featuring Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, NSYNC, and 98 Degrees. Basically, he wants the halftime show to look like your middle school dance playlist. And honestly, I’m not mad. One “Bye Bye Bye” dance break and half of America is throwing out a knee.

-----

Megan Moroney is doing something shocking in 2026…charging affordable ticket prices. Her new “Cloud 9” pop-up tour is nine shows in nine cities for just nine bucks a ticket. Nine dollars. That’s less than a beer, less than parking, and definitely less than your emotional support concert hoodie.

-----

Hollywood legend Robert Duvall has passed at 95, and Tim McGraw paid tribute to his Tender Mercies co-star and friend. Tim said they even texted each other over the years about movies and memories. Which is wild, because somewhere out there was Robert Duvall…just casually texting Tim McGraw like, “Hey man, Tender Mercies is on again.”

You can catch The List weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK IS HONEY!!

Honey is a loving, sweet-natured about 2 year old lap cat who truly thrives on affection and human companionship. She came to us after the passing of her previous owner and is now hoping to find a calm, caring home where she can once again feel safe and cherished.

Honey has a gentle personality and enjoys curling up in laps, soaking up attention, and spending quiet time with her people. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a devoted, affectionate cat.

Honey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV tested, and microchipped, so she is all ready to begin her next chapter in a forever home.
