The List for Wednesday, November 16th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Jay Leno told TMZ how he lit his face on fire.  He was fixing a clogged fuel line on a “Steam Car” and accidentally sprayed gasoline on his face and hands . . . and at the same time, a spark triggered an explosion that lit him up. Jay says a friend quickly jumped on him and smothered the flames, but he still suffered third-degree burns on his face and hands.  He might need skin grafts and is still in the hospital, and he might have to stay there into next week.

Mariah Carey got a bit of bad news…She just heard a word she’s probably not accustomed to hearing:  NO.  Her bid to trademark the phrase “Queen of Christmas” “Princes Christmas and Christmas Princes was DENIED.  She was hoping to lock them down for a variety of products.

Brothers Osborne has partnered with Whistle Pig Whiskey to create a single barrel, limited-edition 100% Rye Whiskey.  It’s part of Whistle Pig’s PiggyBack Legends Series . . . and it’s “fun, warm, and inviting, with the perfect balance of sweet, spice, and smoke.” And alcohol…want to check it out go online to ‘shop dot whistle pig whiskey dot com’

TMZ says Denise Richards was involved in a road rage incident on Monday in LA. She was headed to a studio when a driver behind her started shouting and yelling because she did not know where she was going. The other driver opened fire as he passed Denise and her husband. No one was hurt. Denise made it to the studio and worked 12 hours…because that’s what you do after being shot at in LA….

Gwen Stefani tells Entertainment Tonight that she is going to get Blake Shelton a retirement gift when he leaves ”The Voice”. But she has no idea WHAT!!  Saying “He has everything. But I think his favorite thing would be a bag of corn, like honestly, he would be so thrilled. Or fertilizer or something like that.” ..yeah, fertilizer…that oughta work.

Jason Aldean tells CountryNow.com that his wife should NEVER drink and shop…She made some weird purchases after drinking wine. She ordered some sweet corn Squirrelog, deer feed and miniature picnic tables for squirrels off of Amazon. …at least it’s Amazon and not Oscar De La Renta or Brunello Cucinelli…

The List for Tuesday, March 31st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Taylor Swift has officially entered her glittery legal era again. A Las Vegas performer says Taylor’s use of “The Life Of A Showgirl” is stomping all over her own brand, “Confessions of a Showgirl.” She’s suing for trademark infringement, wants damages, and an injunction too.

Only Kid Rock could turn a poolside salute into a military investigation. The Army says two Blackhawk helicopters near his Tennessee mansion were just on a Nashville training route, but now they’re checking into why they hovered there. Kid says nobody’s getting in trouble and called it pretty neat. Nothing says casual Tuesday like cannonballs, patriotism, and two black helicopters hovering near your house…

-----

Riley Green is stacking side quests like a pro. He’s making his TV debut on Marshals in mid-April. And because sleep is for other people, he’s also reportedly opening a second Duck Blind bar in Gatlinburg. At this point Riley’s building a country music cinematic universe.

-----

Thomas Rhett says one of his favorite parts of touring is trying wild new foods on the road, which sounds adventurous and expensive. Meanwhile Dylan Scott keeps it a little more backyard chaos at home, admitting he’ll wander into the kitchen at midnight and cook a full meal like it’s noon. His wife wakes up confused; he’s making dinner round two. That’s not a snack, that’s a second shift.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

He is about a two year old tabby who came to the ARL as a stray. He came in with an injury to his hip, but thankfully it was the serious and has fully healed. That's when the ARL staff realized Pierre is a cuddy bug who loves to snuggle. They believe he would be good with other cats too. Since Pierre is the KIX Critter his adoption fee is half off the regular price of $50, you can make him your couch buddy for $25.00!! More info
